“We had a wonderful stay at the Psismo Beach Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2010

We stayed at the Pismo Beach Hotel for our wedding and the staff was very accomodating to our families that stayed there. We had our rehersal dinner in their courtyard and it turned out wonderful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. 2nd floor overlooking downtown Pismo, great for people watching, restaurant, centrally located for all activities. Great Room; bathroom a little small no counter space, very clean, "great bed" very plush. Never heard other hotel guests, patios surrounding the motel, great for casual times.

PBH makes you feel at home. Lots of old wood and brick detail in lobby along with nice, comfy sofa's for reading or lounging. The staff was superior to any 5 star hotel paying attention to every need or question. Jason was superb in handling our arrival and suggesting a nice place for sea food dinner which we throughly enjoyed. Robin took over in the morning again caring for the needs of the guests. She displayed a beautiful European breakfast that was fresh and tasty--and it comes complimentary! This is our second stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would certainly recommend it to our friends. It's our first choice in Pismo Beach. Location couldn't be greater and parking is a real plus and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet .

We had read that Pismo was classic California so we had to squeeze it in to our vacation. When we got there we found a bustling little beach town with a daunting fog bank looming over it. Parking was scarce in town, but luckily the hotel has a big parking lot that's free for guests! The location cannot be beat, it is quite literally in the middle of everything and 100 yards from the beach and pier. We had a beautiful and rare view of rolling hills that ran right into the ocean. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful with dinner recommendations, directions, and serving a wonderful breakfast for free! The sun eventually came out and blessed us with one of the most beautiful sunsets we had ever seen. If you want to stay in Pismo, remember that there is a reason why its called THE Pismo Beach Hotel.

What a wonderful and relaxing getaway....We were so surprised by the great guest services and the quiant atmosphere this historic hotel has to offer. We did not have to leave the vicinity because everything is within walking distance of this great property. The front desk was awesome in recommending restaurants and different attractions in the area. When we return to Pismo Beach we will make this our top priority for lodging.

We stayed the first night without children. My husband & I had a great time walking the area and found a great Billiards place that served great pizza & awesome beer. The next night, the kids came with us and they loved the room and garden like atmosphere. We ate crepes at Mon Ami and would eat there again!!!! Breakfast was nice and quiet, and I was able to take my hot coffee out in the early morning and walk the pier. This was a great place to stay and we were able to sleep through the Harry's Bar music...which can get loud at times.
