We stayed at the Pismo Lighthouse Suites this past weekend in January. It is located right on a cliff above the beautiful Pismo Beach on the North end of Pismo. We had a King Suite facing the ocean.
Check in - extremely professional and polite employees!
Room - we had 2 rooms - one with a King size bed and one as a living room with a kitchenette. The room was decorated so tastefully! They must have had an interior decorator since the curtains, lamp shades, artificial tree in living room, art and all furniture was like right out of a magazine - unusual for any hotel! The rooms were spotlessly clean. The Hotel looks like a Motel from the Exterior, so we were quite pleasantly surprised when we stepped inside our room (like condo)! We also had 2 bathrooms - one with a stand up shower, and one with a bath tub - very useful because we had friends visiting us with kids from up North and they used the "guest" bathroom before we ventured out to dinner. The living room and the bedroom each had their own flat panel TVS with good cable channels (HBO etc....) The only children's channel is Cartoon Network - no Disney :(( The toiletries were Rain Kissed Leaves from Bath and Body Works, and smelled wonderful. There was enough closet and drawer space for a family. Just FYI (in case it matters to you) - three things were missing - a make up mirror, slippers and a safe. There is nowhere to lock up valuable electronics - a surprise to us. The kitchenette was very handy. We had a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and coffee machine.
Property - wonderful for families since the "Play Deck" offered Miniature Golf, Ping Pong (25 cents a ball), and Badminton. All rackets, clubs and other balls provided by front desk. There is also a pool and hot tub, but in 55 degree weather - they remained empty of course. We walked along the path of the hotels and neighboring hotels to the steps that take you down to the beach. It was spectacular! We then walked up another set of stairs far away and walked along Price Street back to our Hotel.
Breakfast - was delicious and there were many choices - waffles, boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, fruit, cereals, etc..... They serve it from 7-10am daily. We visited early to avoid the crowds.
We will definitely visit again!
