Obviously, here for golf. They take care of everything you need here. I even had trouble not 'self-serving' things and allowing them to take care of everything. Very friendly, very accommodating staff. They were outstanding.

When I golfed at Pebble, I was amazed after my round (which ended at 2:30 PM) at what a zoo it was there--which includes the grounds of The Lodge at Pebble Beach. For less money you get sooooo much more peace, quiet, and serenity at Spanish Bay, yet are entitled to all the amenities that the guests at the Lodge get.

The hotel has sort of a Shining Hotel look to its interior, but it seemed quite a bit safer. Nothing close to a "Here's Johnny! moment, nor twin girls emerging mysteriously in the hallway.

I took the Garden Suite, just to keep as cheap as possible, and it was very large. Bathroom was two rooms.

Very quiet place. Beds were real comfortable, room very dark. Fireplace was an added touch--my s.o. really enjoyed that.

Accessible to Spanish Bay Golf Course, and they run a shuttle every half hour to Pebble Beach or Spyglass. You have access to anything at Pebble--spa, fitness center, restaurants, etc.

Three restaurants on site: upscale Roys; just-a-shade lower Pepolis (which my golf partners liked), and sports bar-ish Sticks. We did dinner at Sticks and the food was just fine (albeit expensive, like everyplace on this peninsula is), but don't do the breakfast there. $18 for a glorified cereal and bagel meal. Carmel has great dining--don't hesitate to take the ten minute drive to go there.

A Wonderful Stay at Spanish Bay

We had a wonderful 3 day stay stay at Spanish Bay. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the Pebble Beach resort one morning and at Roys in Spanish Bay the next 2 days. Our waitress Patty at Roys remembered our preferences from our first breakfast visit. We had a fantastic dinner at the Tuscan Italian restaurant Peppoli located in Spanish Bay. One evening we went into Carmel and had a wonderfully memorable dinner at Casanovas. Its a French Italian restaurant and made you feel like you were in Europe.

The oceanfront room had a picture postcard view and it was a pleasure to open the drapes every morning. It was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Happy Hour Drinks around the fire pits facing the ocean every evening was a wonderful end to a long day of golf.

Although we payed a fortune for greens fees at Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Spanish Bay, the pain was eased by friendly and helpful staff and caddies. The caddies were all mature (not kids) and had worked at the courses for up to 32 years.

Overall, I would give a strong endorsement for anyone lookng for a high end golf vacation.

Have been to this hotel many times and it seems like they have forgotten the great service they were known for. The golf shop staff at all the courses (spanish, spyglass, pebble) need to remember we are paying a bloody fortune for the golf and have this cocky attitude. The cart guys and the snack shack people are even worse. I am paying 7 for a beer how about a hello? not a what do you want? Seriously is it may fault you are 50 and selling snacks for a living? How about some friendly girls instead.. I am sure there are many people who would take those jobs

The hotel was dead compared to normal. They charge for everything there of course. I still love it there but have for sure noticed a huge decline in service. The rooms could have nicer amenties, cheap towels and small tv for $900 a night

4 days of outstanding golf. And a resort that perfectly complemented the fabulous courses!

This was a once in a lifetime vacation. Golf at Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill. And a luxurious stay at the Inn. Very well appointed, a wonderful ambiance, and good food at 2 of the restaurants that I tried out. The Inn is expensive, but then so is the golf at Pebble Beach. So if you are splurging on the golf - do so on the resort as well!

I stayed at the Inn for a conference. Pebble Beach is just a beautiful place. And the resorts take full advantage of it. The Inn is very nice, the staff is extremly helpful and the location - well: priceless. The restaurants at the Inn (and the Lodge) are the best. I was astounded to see that the room looked a bit lived in (chapped lamp post, bed quilt looked tired) and why i would get knocks on the door from service even though I had the Quiet sign hanging on the door. Other than that - if you can afford staying in Pebble Beach - this is a nice spot.
