“Good Base For Bicycling Paso Robles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

The quiet country roads surrounding Paso Robles are a great place to bicycle and Adelaide Inn is the perfect place to stay while exploring them. We come to Paso every Memorial Day weekend to attend the Great Western Bike Rally and decided to give the Adelaide Inn a try this year. We were not disappointed. The Adelaide Inn was a great value, with large, nicely furnished rooms that were far superior to comparably priced places we've stayed on previous visits. We will definitely be returning to the Adelaide Inn next time we are in the area.

Relatively inexpensive with clean rooms with modern bathroom upgrades. Great location for visiting Paso Robles and surrounding vineyards. Also had great coupons for breakfast and vineyards. Lastly, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. All of their recommendations were great!

Clean, comfortable rooms are a decent size and furnished really nicely. Refrigerator is actually big enough to store your wine in. Close to wineries and downtown. Surprisingly quiet for being close to freeways.

Agreed - the place is really cute! Lot of plants, real Koi in the water and a (crowded) pool! The staff is very friendly and efficient! We didn't hear the road and the Starbuck just a few yards away was a major plus.

However - the room is small and dark. It is OK to come late and leave early - but no place to hang around or wait. At daylight we then saw the stained carpet and the not so well maintained room facilities. TV and hotel guide are outdated and need to be replaced and revisited!

Making some efforts by investing in modernizing and refreshing the room(s), this price would be OK and the place would get high ratings!

Room Tip: Stay in the back part - it is quieter

We really can't say enough good things about the Adelaide Inn. We paid less than $100 total, with a AAA rate, which is a GREAT rate in Wine Country, but we understand if we paid a LOT more, there would be more amenities - but would we have used them? First, it was very clean - like my own home just after our maid leaves clean. Second, it may have been a motor inn at some point, but my wife remarked on how spacious our room is, and the furnishings are high end Marriott and feature local artists and attractions - nice touch! We have a Tepur-Pedic, and while the bed wasn't as comfy as at home, it had nice sheets and was plenty comfy! Fifth, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker with excellent coffee and tea in the room. Sixth, makeup mirror and hair dryer and even a hassock to sit on when making up, and a iron & ironing board. Seventh, REALLY nice furniture, with a desk and a comfy recliner, and a LED in a cabinet with drawers for clothes - you get the idea - everything you could ask for and all quite nice - but AMAZING in a room for less than $100! The staff were also pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Lots of quality fast food within walking distance - try the BBQ place!

We called from the road (thank you AAA Tour Book) to see about getting a room for the night. The woman that answered the phone was very helpful & we got our room for a great rate. The room was wonderful -- clean, had a small refrigerator & a microwave, amazing soaps & shampoo, great coffee maker & a very comfortable bed. We were able to walk across the street for dinner & breakfast. Since they don't serve breakfast (but do offer muffins & scones), they give you a $5-off voucher for Margie's diner.
If we need to overnight in Paso Robles again we'll stay here!

Just spent four days in Paso Robles with college friends for a weekend of wine tasting and catching up. When I booked the hotel, I asked if we could have the same rooms as before because they were quiet. Ina, one of several desk clerks kindly accommodated our request. The staff at the Adelaide are so kind and they make running a hotel look easy. Needless to say, this is our go-to hotel in PR. The added bonus is that there is a Starbucks directly across the street and the hotel is freeway close without sitting on the freeway, if you get what I mean. My fear is that this hotel will be so popular and booked solid the next time because it is so awesome.

Lastly, do not let the "motel" impression dissuade you; the room are elegantly appointed and have a variety of amenities including a fridge, coffee, makeup mirror and a second sink at the dressing table.
