“Great place to stay while wine tasting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

The La Quinta Inn in Paso Robles is new, and has very nice accommodations and a hospitable staff. The location is convenient to downtown and to the various areas for wine tasting. The King size bed is very comfortable but I would suggest bringing along your favorite pillow as we felt ours were a bit stiff. Very nice, large bathroom. All very clean.

Good room, good to excellent condition, real breakfast!, wine hour, friendly helpful staff. All in all I'd give it five stars..with one important exception. It is the noisiest hotel I have ever experienced. It's mainly the plumbing..every flush, shower and running sink noise is transmitted and amplified to our first floor bathroom. There is no excuse for this oversight in brand new construction. The adjoining room and corridor noise transmitted easily into our room as well.

Room Tip: You need to have a high tolerance for noise. Perhaps upper floors have less plumbing noise.

This hotel is ideally located in Paso Robles for easy access to wineries, golf, and dining. It is well maintained, clean, and staffed by professional and caring people. The rooms are very well soundproofed, so there is no distracting noise from other rooms. I have stayed here about 10 times when playing golf at the excellent Hunter Ranch Golf course. I can't recommend it highly enough.

This hotel is nice and clean and has a lot of nice extras like the (very) complete breakfast, nice pool and excellent staff. The hotel is centrally located and there are lots of sights around. Take the restaurant suggestions with a grain of salt as they only recommend the very expensive ones when there are many more good and modestly priced restaurants around.

One of the nicer La Quintas we've stayed at. We had a 1st floor room with a rear door opening to the outside courtyard. Made it super easy to walk our 2 dogs without having to take them through the hotel. On weekday evenings several very nice local area wines were available free in the lobby along with cheese and crackers. A very nice touch! The lobby also has a wine store with numerous selections from the local wineries. Several 100 wineries are nearby, one directly across the parking lot.

This is an excellent motel. We were very pleased with everything. The full breakfast in the morning is an excellent value. The pool was very nice. The location is great. This is a large winery area and thus, prices are a little higher. Overall this was a great place, but a little pricey on Fri and Sat nights. A very pleasant place.

I would highly recommend La Quinta to anyone w/pets, and even to those without. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a wonderful wine and cheese bar from 5-7 pm and a nice hot breakfast in the am with plenty to choose from. The plus to this stay is not just being in the heart of the Central Coast of Ca. Wine country, but also right down the street is the River Oak Hot Springs. I have not 1 complaint about this place or their staff. In fact returning here tomorrow for 1 more night :)

Room Tip: Our room was on 2nd floor facing the Hwy 46 and it was quiet and sunny. I believe any room here is a...
