Owner description: In 1973, Gary Eberle began his career in the wine industry by heading his family's Estrella River Winery (currently 360 Degrees in Paso Robles) and produced 500,000 cases a year at its facility. Eberle's pioneering spirit didn't stop there. In 1980, he co-founded the Paso Robles Appellation and in 1983, Gary opened the doors to his own Eberle Winery with the premiere of Eberle's 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, Eberle handcrafts 25,000 cases of wine each year from surrounding Estate vineyards. And, after more than 33 years since the release of the Eberle label, the winery consistently remains one of the highest award-winning wineries in the United States. The German name "Eberle" translates to "small boar." At Eberle Winery, a bronze boar greets every guest who visits the Tasting Room. The statue is the 93rd replica of the original bronze Porcellino cast by Tacca in 1620. And today, the original can be found in the straw market in Florence, Italy. It is considered good luck to rub the boar's nose and toss a coin in the water below. Guest enjoy complimentary wine tasting and cave tours daily. Reservations for VIP Tour & Tasting, groups of 8 or more guests or reserve tastings please contact in advance.

“This one is a: YES!,when deciding which wineries to see.”

Above average . This is an important stop on my local wine tours with my fam. Generally, we have one day to spend wine tasting. Keeping in mind! Tastings wine is only half the fun. The other half is the sights and tours. Even a tea toddler will appreciate the views and points of interest on this stop.

“For mature aged visitors”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Wanted to like this place and sought it out on a recent trip to Paso Robles after hearing about the "Godfather of American Syrah" but not worth it for me anyway. The wines on tasting were pretty average and the guy in the tasting room was a bit awkward and set on the hard sell despite his enthusiasm.
I'm sure many people may get a lot out of the tour and I saw others buying cases of wine, so maybe best suited to more mature aged visitors

Eberle is a great winery and an easy stop on HWY E 46. You will enjoy the reasonable price and the excellent wines here.

“Awesome tour - Great winery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

We enjoyed a great tasting and then a tour of the caves where they store their wine. The tasting room was nice and big, enough to service large crowds. We took home a Steinbeck Zin which we are looking forward to cellaring and enjoying in a few years.
We got a complimentary tasting card and 20% off from our hotel information desk.
