“Hit and miss”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

We were visiting Paso Robles and decided to try Roberts. I was looking forward to their Beef Stroganoff short ribs. The short ribs were amazing, but the pasta that they serve with it, just didn't do justice to the richness of the meat. My husband had the special of the night which was I believe a Sea bass and roasted vegetables with au gratin potatoes. His meal was very good. The best part of the meal was a slice of carrot cake that the chef was playing with the recipe for. It was amazing, light and flavorful, topped with candied carrot slices.

“Just okay”

Service was good, food nothing special. Decor - interesting. My green beans were spiced. The pear salad was great.

“"Old Timey" (1970s!) Type Menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

My wife and I were in PR for our anniversary and after trying hit as many of the 150+ wineries in the environs decided to eat at this decidedly old fashioned Steak House. I don't mean that in a negative way at all. Bacon wrapped Shrimp, Wedge Salad (with Bacon!), a crispy mac n' cheese, and lot's of fish and meat choices were a prelude to a terrific white chocolate cheese cake. The buzz was friendly and everyone seemed to be having a great time!

A real plus was the wine list which did it's best to represent all the possibilities in this finally arrived wine country destination. Rhone blends and single varietals are terrific.

The kitchen should consider backing off on the salt and hot pepper flakes a bit, but maybe that was just a "last night" snafu? My Rib-eye was over salted and the brocoli was indestiguishable from the hot pepper flakes...maybe I'm a "wheenie"!?

We did enjoy this place for sure...

“Delicious Meal in Paso Robles!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

Our family of five went to Paso Robles this past weekend. We went to Robert's based on the high Trip Advisor reviews. We did not have a reservation, but they happily accommodated us at the wine bar counter. We ordered wine, salads, mushroom lasagna, pan roasted chicken, and salmon. We also ordered the chocolate soufflé cake for desert. Everything was delicious!!! This was one of the best meals we have had. The servers were friendly, our waiter let us try a number of wines before we made our pick, and everything came out quickly. The restaurant décor is nice and relaxing. We would definitely return and highly recommend Robert's!
