If you are looking for a lower-cost motel in this part of Pasadena, then the HI Express is one of the nicest. I have stayed here several times on business travel. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and modern. The beds are always comfortable, a trademark of Holiday Inn Express. Don't be thrown off by the "strip-mall" location. The hotel is nice and quiet inside, and the property is secure. I am a loyal Holiday Inn Express customer, and my only misgivings about this particular property is that the rooms and common areas in the hotel are not as spacious as many of the other locations. But, the managers here are conscientious, and I am sure you will have an enjoyable stay.

Upon arrival at the Holiday Inn Express we were greeted and checked in by a really nice and friendly staff member. He was very helpful and quick even though we arrived pretty late.

The room was big and clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV and internet worked great. 2 TV sets, one in the living area and one in the bed room.

Breakfast in the morning was awesome and check out was easy.

Parking is available both indoors and out doors.

The hotel is pricey however this is Pasadena after all. We enjoyed our stay and I have nothing negative to report about this location.

Although it appears clean and has nice pluses, this location is infested with bed bugs. I found out the hard way when I pulled back the bedcover to see a little monster staring up at me in all its live glory! I bolted out of there. If you care about your health and sanity (my skin is still crawling) then by all means AVOID!!!

My boyfriend and I wanted an inexpensive hotel around Burbank to stay the night in before heading to Disneyland the next day. I really wasn't expecting much from it, but this hotel far exceeded my expectations.

Upon arrival, I was a little disappointed to see it was located in a strip mall, but that was my only moment of disappointment during our stay. During check-in, we were given a little bag of treats and water, which was a nice touch. After being in our room for about 20 minutes, a staff member called to make sure everything was okay. This has NEVER happened to me before and I was very pleased. Everything in the room was well-kept and clean--no complaints with the room.

The next morning we ate at the best continental breakfast I have ever experienced. There was a great variety of food (eggs, sausage, pancakes, bagels, juice, cereal, etc.) but better than that was the fact that it was immaculate and well-stocked the entire time. The staff was constantly cleaning and restocking it.

Although my stay at this hotel was very short (from about 6 pm to about 8 am the next day), the staff made it one of the most memorable hotel experiences I have ever had.
