“Over-rated, and noisy”

We went here for a college graduation dinner with our daughter and her sister. Service was okay. Salmon was ordered "well done" and arrived half-raw. They graciously took it back and reserved it cooked correctly. However, the fettucine that was served us was lukewarm at best, and nothing to write home about considering the price. I would not recommend and would not go back.

“A PERFECT GEM IN OLD TOWN PASADENA”

This adorable little - about 10 tables - restaurant serves some of the best food around. Even though it is on Green Street, it is at the end of it so it is quiet. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming. The service terrific. They only serve beer and wine, but have them from only the best little known wineries. I had a Pinot Gris from Willamette Valley that was fantastic.
As for the food, I had the ubiquitous tomato with Burrata salad, but the burrata was very fresh and runny like it should be. The balsamic reduction with it was divine. My husband had their arugula Caesar salad with a whole mustard grain dressing. I never got a bite he loved it so much.
Then he had their smoked pork chop served with scallions, polenta and mushrooms. Perfectly cooked and served. The same with my Salmon which came with polenta and shitake mushrooms. Cooked flawlessly a delicious medium rare.
You would be wise to make reservations as this gem fills up fast. They have a 2nd room if you want to rent it for parties. It holds about 35 people. The atmosphere of that room is far different than the regular restaurant though.
The prices are very reasonable. I am used to paying $35 for salmon at any high end restaurant. Here it was $21. The pork chop also was very fairly priced. If you enjoy excellent, beautifully prepared food in a place the whole world has not found yet, this would be the place. We were very pleased with our experience.
