“Great value, mom and pop place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Norma's has has been around in Pasadena for decades and recently has moved to its store location on Colorado Ave. It was a converted gas-station before with outdoor seating. They somehow managed to merge the decor into their new place and the food is still delicious and reasonably priced.

One of the things about Pasadena is that there's few places left where you can "grab a quick bite" without having to shell out a lot of cash and wait around for your food. Norma's does just that - mexican food (tacos, quesos, chips and guac) at really reasonable prices compared to what you would find elsewhere in the neighborhood. The food is always freshly prepared and large quantities of mexican sodas on demand (i've been hooked for years)

“1927, PCC Marketting/Business/Art students, eat and volunteer your professional knowledge at "NORMA'S TACO STATION"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

1927 station land mark
Guidelines... contact PCC ART/PHOTOGRAPHY/MARKETING/BUSINESS department's for the opportunity to practice your expertise in helping Norma to increase her taco station cliental, in which she and her husband continualy give their all.

Review... My first time at the taco station last night January 21, 20012 was most impressive. The excellent welcoming, food and service are already tatally there,
This 1927 station history to date should be included in tourist guided itinererry and use catering service as needed.
Norma, We three thank you for the opportunity and the delicious chimichanga and tacos in Los Angeles County.

We will return often.
Olguita

“Tacos in a vintage gas station & vegetarian friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

The restaurant is outdoors, so if you are in a sit down and stay kind of mood, this is not your place. If you are a vegetarian, and/or like tacos made fresh, you should visit. Norma cooks up good and simple Mexican food and Ulises serves it with a smile. They serve their hand made tortillas, and beans out of a tiny kitchen in a converted corner gas station complete with vintage pumps.
We had carne asada, tamales, and soy meat tacos which were very good. The neighboring table was eating their way through all the meat tacos and they liked them all.
The menu also includes: crispy tacos with beef or potato, quesadillas with your choice of meat or guacamole, frijoles charros (bean soup with Mexican sausage and bacon), chimichangas with beef and beans and chicken taquitos.
They serve Mexican Coke in jars, but they don't have a liquor license so we brought our own cerveza to have with dinner.
