“Great place for sandwiches, salads, baked goods and candy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

We had some wonderful sandwiches on great bread. Seemed a little pricy until the first bite. Then I understood what a good sandwich was all about. It couldn't have been better.
This is an order at the counter, sit at tables inside or out, type eatery, with parking in back of the building.

“Cozy and casual”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

I work near Little Flower and never get tired of going there for breakfast or lunch. Great coffee, sandwiches, salads. Baked goods are made daily and I do all I can to resist. It is a place to meet friends. The place is always full and you may share a table with someone. Oh, and there are always more women than men (a friend of mine remarked on our last visit.)

“Delicous pastries”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

subsequent visits:
still love the goodness they bake up, but the problem: baked goods are left out in the open or uncovered and naturally their awesome smell attracts the unwanted flies. For sanitary/health reasons alone, Lil Flower Candy needs to start covering up the yummy baked goods...if not, this is enough to deter me, along w/ other sanitary conscious patrons, from more frequent visits!
Had their zuchini goat cheese quiche or pastry - Soo good -- buttery, flaky crust and the lighter flavor of zuchini against the rich (not overly) crust. Great small meal or snack. Also, had their red-velvet cupcake but unfortunately, this one failed. Cake was rather bland in flavor and wasn't moist at all, just about the most common red-velvet cake you can get...and lastly, annoyed by the cashier who refused to give me their "nicer"(!) little paper bags w/ a handle for it b/c it wasn't bought as a "gift" and instead gave me a huge (grocery-bag sized) plastic bag for my little cupcake! I'm thinking, "Are you kidding me?" During each of my visits, I spend $20+ and I come by pretty frequently! So still good, but honestly dislike this inflexibility over their co$t of a little paper-bag...so you guessed it, I don't go by as often as before (well, for health reasons also)!

1st visit:
luv this lil hidden gem in pasadena. was recommended by another and we were definitely hooked on the cuteness esp w/ the pink, yellow, blue-colored eggs (candy-covered almonds) made just for the Easter holiday. the chocolate almonds were good...decided not to get the almond croissant despite all the raving reviews b/c decided for the banana creme bread budding! yum - creamy custard, choc, caramel w/ pieces of french bread (slightly hard, but added texture)! definitely need to try all their other fresh pastries (seem to sell out quickly) aka ginger muffin, raspberry choco cake, etc in the near future! But their also well-known vanilla flavored marshmellow is calling my name (on dining table) so that'll be another taste test that shouldn't fail! So far, happy w/ the food (sandwich, pastries, etc) and the service but still doesn't quite compare to tartines in sf but very good substitute!
