“A taste of Britain in Pasadena”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

This is a charming little place that serves great fish and chips. It is close to the freeway on Allen in a quiet neigborhood and has a family friendly atmosphere. It is run by a husband and wife team and very friendly service. The fish is a large piece of white fish that's perfectly fried. It is about $12 but it is a large portion served with fries and veggie. They served imported tea from Britain. I also tried the steak and mushroom pie in a flaky puff pastry. I am glad to find this place and is looking forward to try their breakfast which is on 2nd Sunday each month or bangers next time.

“Will not be back”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

rrived at 6:30 pm on a Sunday night with a Groupon in full view. We were the only patrons in the place. The waitress told us per the sign on the front door they do not accept Groupons on weekends. I nicely said that wasn't on the conditions of the Groupon and she said she didn't know, she only worked here. We left and I asked Groupon for a refund.

The place was hot (no air conditioning) and the sign on the door said something like, "No vouchers are accepted on weekends due to prior reservations." There wasn't a sole in the place other than the waitress and cook. Even if the reviews were stunning, I'd never go back. What kind of a place makes a deal with Groupon and then changes the conditions? A place that doesn't value customers and doesn't realize that Groupon customers come back to places they like AND THEY PAY FULL PRICES.
