I would not stay here again unless I had to. The neighborhood was not that nasty and I saw neither prostitutes nor insects. But the bathroom was filthy, the management was unfriendly, and I would not have been able to sleep without headphones (thanks to the drone of traffic from the highway overpass that is very close to the hotel). The chains on Colorado Blvd are a better bet (esp. the Howard Johnsons) if you're willing to pay just a little bit more.

Wow, this was by far the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The Decor was filthy, dated, and infested ! Yes, I said infested with both bed bugs and unfortunately in the early hours of morning I saw a cockroach. The location is seedy and we had the "privilege" of rooming next to a currently working prostitute. We basically didn't sleep nor uncover the bed or get undressed. The motel is noisy and crawling with shady characters who cause you to constantly check the locks and your car. I was also quite disgusted to realized not only are there tacky mirrors behind the bed and to the side of us but the cable tv is equipped with a pornographic channel that had my children been with us could have been turned on as easy as cartoons. All in all I hope the city of Pasadena condemns the motel and the less than savory neighborhood gets cleaned up.
