My husband and I stayed at the Cardinal Hotel this past weekend for the Stanford/Notre Dame game. Not only were the rooms clean, beautiful, and cozy, the staff was phenomenal and extremely personable. Turns out on Sunday morning our car battery was dead due to the lights being on for 2 days. We walked back to the Cardinal to ask staff who to call to assist. Well guess what??? They found jumper cables and started our vehicle! A big huge shout out to LISA and MIGUEL. We live 4 1/2 hours away and they saved our day. We will stay at the Cardinal every trip we make! Thanks guys!!!!!!!

We stayed in a room, with shared bath. This was not a problem at all, as there are multiple clean shared baths and showers available. The bedroom was also clean, quiet and spacious. The atmosphere of the hotel is one we haven't found very often: it seemed very responsible, comforting and mature. Odd adjectives for a hotel.
The location is great: Whole Foods, The Creamery, and many more restaurants nearby.
We will stay here again when we visit Palo Alto again.

We have rented 4-6 rooms at the Cardinal for the past 6 years for a mini family reunion. (10-16 people- 4 generations). The location is perfect for roaming around to the shops and restaurants in Palo Alto.
The staff is very nice and the rooms are comfy. The lobby and upstairs library are great for visiting. We'll be back.

The Cardinal is a wonderful hotel. Operates very smoothly. We'll be back, especially for Stanford football.
