“A treasure of a museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

You are on the huge Stanford Campus and this gem of a museum holds wonderful treasures....the Serra outdoor sculpture is a must and a great counter point to their incredible Rodin collection...the American Indian collection is phenomenal as is the Asian art galleries....where you could easily spend a whole day...But the most fun is the 2nd floor with contemporary art...easy to look and somewhat of a surprise.....

“Lots of Rodin; Good Collection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

An outdoor sculpture garden largely with Rodin works but also of others, more modernist plus a matching indoor collection of Rodin, with every possible variation on the Burghers of Calais, and other familiar works. Also a collection of some first rate American and European artists on two floors. Some parts were being worked on when we were there and so not available for viewing. Conveniently, it was open until 8:00 p.m. the evening we went.

“Fun museum with great staff”

I really enjoyed having a walk around this small but interesting museum. The staff were great too, very happy to talk about pieces that you were interested in.

“Rodin Escape in The Valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

GO! It's a small place but a great little detour while visiting the Stanford Campus or Palo Alto for business. Take an hour and walk the museum and have lunch at the cafe (which is excellent).

“Grand Art without the big city!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

You must come here to see the amazing collection of art. The outdoor sculpture garden is fantastic. The Gates of Hell will knock you off your feet!

They even have a very nice cafe to gather after indulging in a feast for your eyes!
