Very interesting pieces of art, and I learned a bit about the history of Stanford!

“superb collection as well as good architecture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

always fun to go, with interesting special exhibitions and a wide-ranging collection from Egypt and Greece to contemporary, including historical material on the Stanfords and the Rodin collection. The architectural setting is wonderful with all that marble in the old building and excellent contemporary architecture in the new. Cafe has good food and is open evenings (check days and times).

“outstanding museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

Both architecture and collection excellent. Collection ranges from Egypt and Greece to brand-new, including a historical section on the Stanfords. Well worth multiple visits. Most people will enjoy seeing a good collection of Rodins. Often their special exhibitions are interesting, which is what gets me there, but I enjoy the rest afterwards. The cafe, which is open for dinner (check the schedule), is very good for a museum cafe.

“Hidden Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

The Cantor Museum on Stanford's Campus is a absolute gem. The Rodin collection is rare and awe inspiring. Quaint, but perfect for a half day visit with a picnic amongst the Rodin sculptures outdoors.
