“Great for kids, nature, hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Baylands is a great place for bicycling, viewing different species of birds, migratory birds during different seasons, walking,, running, or biking. We walked the Lucy Evans Nature Interpretive Centre. The trail extends out to the bay. It's a lovely walk, though it can get quite windy and cold. There are hotspots for viewing migratory birds throughout the year The trails at the preserve extend to Shoreline Park in Mountain View. The best part about this preserve is that is is less crowded and is another "new place" to see right in your back yard. Its free and worth every minute spent in nature. Must see !!

“Great place to go for a walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

There are lots of options on where to walk. You can go for a short walk or long (over to Shoreline park). Nice to get away from the hustle. Always easy to find places to park. Parking and preserve are free!

“great place for a short or long walk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

This is a great place to take small children, they can't get lost on the long boardwalk out to the edge of the marsh. There are several other longer walks in the preserve. the views are amazing and it was fun to see the little planes come and go from the nearby airport. I think nature lovers, people on a date, runners, and small children would like this place in particular.

“Duckpond, bay views and a quail...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Never too crowded, some seasons you will see nesting egrets and blue herons. Once we saw a beautiful quail. Always peaceful and full of dog walkers and people getting exercise. The duck pond has been there for decades and is great for kids.
