“Great View & Interesting History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

The history about President Hoover studying geology at Stanford is very interesting and the view from the top of the tower is amazing.

“If you have some free time...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

The view is nice, but this is definitely not a must. The wait is rather long (at least it was on the day we visited), and the upper deck is crowded.

You can get much better views from Foothill park, if you have the time to drive there.

“worth the small entrance fee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

If you are visiting Stanford, the observation deck is definitely worth the $2 entrance fee. You get a great view of the whole campus as well as the mountains in the distance.

“Free For Stanford Affiliates!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

If you visit Stanford, you have to go to the top of HoTow. It offers one of the best views of campus! I really enjoyed seeing all of the different buildings from above- especially MemChu. One of the guys that sold tickets was a little rude, but other than that it's definitely worth the elevator ride to the top!

“Landmark of the area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

The Hoover Tower is synonymous with the Stanford area. On a clear day, you can see all the way to San Francisco and Oakland. It offers the best view the south bay has to offer.
