“Papua-New Guinea sculpture garden at Stanford University”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

I always take out-of-towners to this somewhat hidden gem on campus. The vegetation hides the carvings from passing motorists. It is at the intersection of Santa Teresa St. and Lomita Dr.
There are quite a few totem poles and some stone carvings. The Papuans carved everything over a 4-5 months period in the summer of 1994 and they returned to celebrate the completion and inauguration of the garden in 1996. Many Silicon Valley luminaries donated funds to make this garden possible.

“Lovely Campus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

There's no doubt that Stanford University is located on a lovely campus that is both inviting and inspiring. If you have time, go up in the tower for some great views . . . otherwise, enjoy strolling around what many would agree is one of the most beautiful college campuses in America.

“Beautiful campus and setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

Stanford's campus provides a combination of elegant, understated contemporary and historically significant buildings. All set in moderate and seemingly always sunny embrace of the bay areas mid-peninsula environment the flora and fauna of northern California surrounded by the vibrant cultural pace and rhythm of silicon valley. There just aren't any downsides.

“Stanford University's Legacy to the Bay Area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

The Stanford University campus has developed over the past 100+ years into one of this country's greatest destination options, especially here in the Bay Area.

The consistency of its architecture, the manicured grounds, the variety of 'things' that would interest even the most discerning of visitors....museums, a tower & accompanying library, athletic facilities, a splendid church in the European tradition, stables, golf course and more.

Those lucky enough to have seen this 'attraction' will leave impressed. Those who are and were lucky enough to have attended as an undergraduate or graduate student will echo this sentiment also.
