I'm not sure one could expect anything more of a motel for the money. The room was large and renovated, the heat and A/C worked fine, the pool and large hot tub were great, and there was a large mountain in the backdrop. Breakfast has hard-boiled eggs (much better than those awful powdered eggs most places serve), pastries, cereal, apples, bagels, real orange juice, etc. The location is close to downtown, and the front desk was very friendly. A nice group of people stay here.

The only negative I can think of is they have not replaced room keys with swipe cards.

Excellent value for the price. Central location. Clean, quiet, a bit dated however has all amenities for 1/2 the price of the huge corporate style resorts in the area! Very helpful staff. Leyla, the manager, upgraded us to a poolside room upon arrival. Mini fridge and microwave in all rooms. Hot tub is set to 104 degrees. Sweet!! Yummy FREE breakfast every morning. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again in the future.

Room Tip: We liked poolside on the ground level.

Great location, great staff, immaculate rooms, nice beds, decent pool, plenty of free parking, free internet, free breakfast, etc... Definitely the best budget place I've encountered lately! Not a 4- star resort by any means, but a great value for a night or two. No regrets here--and my wife is very picky...

Great hotel! Exceptional rates and service. Clean, comfortable, quiet. The Continental breakfast was excellent. All the amenities of a fancy expensive hotel - iron, ironing board, coffee maker, microwave, fridge and really loved the pull out magnifying mirror on the wall by the sink. Also our little doggy enjoyed it too for only $10.

My husband and I have stayed here three times now. We like the price and the included continental breakfast (cereal, toast, bagels, sweet rolls, fruit, waffles and eggs) which is served in the cabana and patio. It's a 3-story bldg, a little dated, but clean and quiet. It's near downtown Palm Sprgs but just off the main drag. We went for a walk after breakfast as the neighborhood has mostly upscale homes with beautiful plantings, shade trees. The room was fine, coffee provided, plus a mini-fridge and microwave. The TV was old school but big enough to enjoy a movie. The pool is nice, the jacuzzi large. We booked our room a month prior as the annual bicycle ride (Tour de Palm Springs) was that weekend.

Room Tip: Best to stay on second or third floors, quieter.

We stayed two nights in Nov. 2011 and were very happy with the cleanliness, pool, free breakfast, and service. It isn't the newest hotel by far, but it was very cozy and convenient. Our son made friends his age at the pool and we parents had a great time just relaxing and letting the kids play.

On the up side: Very close to Indian Canyon. Hotel was inexpensive.

Not so great: The room was not all very clean. Ceiling had cracks and big poorly patched holes in it and at night when my up stairs neighbors were stomping around keeping me awake I hoped it was not going to fall in on me. Chairs were dusty and dirty. Floor of bathroom was dirty. Pillow had hairs stuck into it. Holes in sheets and bed spread.

My room was supposed to be "non-smoking" but it reeked like cigarettes after the smell of the harsh cleaning chemicals dissipated.

Also my room was by the stair case and it was very noisy late at night and early in the morning.
I asked if they had a quieter room I could move to and they told me they did not. Front desk not too big on customer service.
