“Nice Cool Hotel with Awesome Pool Action!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Stayed at the Curve for Pride Palm Springs-very cute hotel. I guess it is called the Curve because it rounds out to what seems to be a cul de sac but actually has another road going south. The lobby is cool funky, the redesign was featured on a TV show where the colors and layout was much planned and discussed. There is a curious pink barber's chair, 4 clocks that show LA, NY and Who Cares? time-very retro cool. The lobby lounge doubles as a breakfast area in the morning, and thankfully, there is a desktop computer you can use if you forgot your laptop or if you need to print your boarding pass.
The hotel is/was undeniably a motor hotel, with the layout of one-one side looks out to the parking lot, the other to the pool view. I love this because it alows you quick access to your car, and yet the balcony gives you a view of the pool action, giving you privacy if you choose to with the closed door and curtains, and yet you can open it and feel part of the action and see poeple and hear their laughter or conversation without actually having to go to the pool. And speaking of which, there is a lot of pool action! There is a DJ that plays dance music, a bartender, and a big pool and jacuzzi. This is a mixed crowd clientele, both young and old, gay/lesbian or straight are welcome. This is actually a welcome relief if you're traveling with family, or if you don't want the hypersexualized pressure of the all male resorts on Warm Sands.
The room is big, nice wall frames, bureau with TV and single serve coffeemaker, fridge and plenty of drawer space, but the closet hanger is tiny and did not have iron/ironing boards.
The small bathroom is a tell tale of its Travelodge past, with little counter space, but it does have a huge rainforest shower and toiletries with the Bee Kind brand, something I've only seen before in an upscale hotel spa resort in Vernon, BC, so that's the saving grace of the small bathroom. The staff are very friendly, which made my reservation mixup a bit more tolerable. The hotel is at the end of the historic Palm Canyon, and close to restaurants, shopping, downtown-very centrally located. Quite charming for it's price, a very good value!

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the big pool!

It's another tipical american motel, with its rooms facing the parking lot. The rooms are Okay, for one or two nights, because there are not the best ones.

We slept well but nothing else. The "included breakfast" poor, too poor.

It's located in a beautiful neighborhood in Palm Spring. Nice city, a place to visit.

I'm 27 years old and I came here with my girlfriend and we both had an awesome time. Its a really fun place.

This hotel has COMPLIMENTARY beach cruisers you take around the city. So in the morning we got a coffee and a very filling breakfast burrito and rode around the city on the beach cruisers which was really fun. Then we went to the pool.

First of all the pool area was AWESOME (I'm talking about the main one, I think there are 2-3 of them)! There are ton of lounge chairs and even Cabanas. Everything was nice and clean. They had cool music playing so the vibe was real nice. The pool and Jacuzzi temperature were perfect. We hung out with a cool couple that were from Ireland.

The bed was really, really comfortable and we had a balcony with a view of the pool and the beautiful surrounding area where we brought back a few drinks ;) . Very rejuvenating experience, would definitely come back.

Room Tip: 240 Big, nice bed with a balcony.

I'm sure this was a hip and happening place to be maybe 10 years ago, but it seems a bit run down and grungy now. The carpet could stand a deep shampooing and the shower head was broken a spewed water everywhere. (My neighbor's shower was also broken.) In the morning when I went to make a cup of tea, I was greeted by a moldy coffee packet in the coffee maker, so it had been there for quite awhile.

The bed was comfy enough, the location and price are good, but the cleanliness and upkeep definitely are a huge drawback.

From the outside it looks like a road-motel. Rooms are big, little bit old painting, maar clean. Bathroom looks old, but also clean.
Small reception, okay check-in and service.
Pool looks nice, we didn't use it, while we only stayed here for one night during our trip through south-west USA.
Breakfast was incuded, not very rich but okay!

This hotel used to be a Travelodge, I think, and you could tell in little ways, such as the carpet and the outside of the building. The actual room itself was pretty nice. We had a balcony overlooking the mountains, very pretty. The pool area was awesome! There was a few lounge areas surrounding it. It had a regular pool, as well as a jacuzzi. They also had ice water with lemon and cups on a table by the pool. The only downside is it's not in downtown. But it is about 5 minutes in a cab. Overall, great hotel and would stay there again.

We stayed here two nights (Thursday and friday) when travelling through Southwest US. We kind of liked the place. had a room in the building farthest from the entrance reception. The reception is efficient and the staff nice. The bed is soft bud good. unfortunately the sheets are definitely made from synthetic material.

The Swimming Pool and area are very nice, the breakfast was below average. We left on saturday morning which was a good thing I suppose. On Friday evening the party bunch was already checking in, which made it more noisy then the night before (although it was not bothering at any moment).
