Not the best of hotels. My wife and I stayed here as part of a fly drive package. Whilst I appreciate that the package included 'budget' hotels, all other hotels used were up to the normal USA standard, e.g. friendly and professional staff and good rooms. However, at this Best Western, The staff were not particularly friendly and our room seemed dark and dingy. For those of a certain age, it brought up memories of the Bates Motel!

Very basic with a noisy AC. Our first room smelt very musty and we worked out it was the old books on the shelf to give the room 'character'. Fault with the telephone lines meant we were woken at 2am with a series of single rings.
Breakfast if very basic, but there are some good breakfast restaurants within walking distance.

Stayed one night, July 2006. Room needed updating, and a thorough cleaning. Morning coffee was by the pool, on dirty tables. The motel seemed to be used by many European tour groups, I hope they had better accomodations along the way.

our first full day in the US and this hotel is poor.room is basic and the aircon unit is next to the bed and very very noisy,so we had a restless night.outside temp is 104 at midnight.palm springs is great for shops and food ,but the landscape on the drive in has been destroyed by the erection of over 10,000 wind powered generators.i would highly recommend the cable car ride up to state park in the mountains (breathtaking ,but not for the fainthearted).
