“Best location for access to downtown Palm Springs.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in November 2012. The room we had was poolside and very nice. They have recently redecorated the hotel. Although the outside is nothing spectacular the interior pool area and landscaping are beautiful. There is also free parking although we didn't use it. There is no restaurant but just across the street is South Palm Canyon Drive with loads of restaurants and shops. The hotel is just a block and a half from the Art Museum and the Thursday Night street fair on S. Palm Canyon Drive. The Plaza Theater where the Palm Springs Follies plays is across the street on S. Palm Canyon Drive. The Marilyn Statue is also nearby and if you haven't seen a 75 foot tall Marilyn Monroe, you should go just for that.

Room Tip: Ask for a poolside room. We were facing Tahquitz Drive but it was fairly quiet.

I booked a couple days here with my 17 year old grand-daughter....Our room was ground floor right next to the pool...
The AC worked great ... good thing since we went during the HOTTEST part of July. The pool was too warm... but that was just the weathers fault!
We went to the spa for facials and massages... that was wonderful. It was my grand-daughters first time and she, being 17, is a little more shy than I am. They didn't make her get undressed for her massage so she appreciated that.
The hotel is right off the main street and close to everything.
It wasn't 5 star but I didn't pay for that. Overall a nice place and I would stay there again!

We just spent 7 delightful days at this place. The location relative to the City is ideal. One block from the "strip" and yet very quiet. Although an older property, it is clean and comfortable. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. We have only one complaint: that we had to go home after our 1-week vacation. Thanks Palm Mountain Resort for a great holiday.

Room Tip: on the 2nd floor on the north-side looking over the pool towards the mountain

Having read some of the 'bad' reviews, I was unsure of what I was getting into when I booked this hotel. It turned out to be a wonderful place, very clean, with friendly staff, great pool and spa, and you can't beat the location: walk out the door, across the street and you are right on the main block of downtown Palm Springs, with all the restaurants and shops that you could ever want. OK, the furniture in the room may be a little outdated, but who cares? If you are spending a lot of time in your room, you shouldn't be in Palm Springs anyway... The rooms are huge, clean, the bed extremely comfortable, the bathroom was large with tiled floors, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, huge work desk with a real office chair, private balcony, flawless (free) wifi connection, the works. Ignore the curmudgeonly reviewers here and enjoy your stay at this place. I will certainly do so again!

Room Tip: Rooms facing west are quiet, lovely view of the mountains right out the door, no noise from the pool...

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights this past week and although the hotel is not rated 5 star, the room was clean & very comfortable. All staff members we had contact with were very friendly and looked after things very well during our stay. The pool & hot tub were cleaned each morning and towels were on all the lounge chairs that surround the fenced pool area. Most rooms face the pool courtyard area with good sized decks & depending which way it faces dictates whether you get morning; mid day or afternoon sun. The hotel provides a shuttle from & to the airport for customers which was a terrific plus. The hotel is located one block west of the main cross intersection in downtown Palm Springs so it easy walking to a great variety of restaurants and shops. A newspaper is also available most days for hotel guests. It had been about 12 years since our previous stay at the hotel and we would not hesitate to stay again in the future.

Room Tip: Our room was a corner unit on the top floor of a 2 story section facing west looking at the mountain...

The room was clean and more than sufficient. Service was great and the staff were friendly and helpful with assistance. The pool/hot tub were clean and well kept, never ran out of towels, and the water temperatures were comfortable. The view of the mountains from the hotel were breath taking.

After a long and hot drive through the Mojave desert from Las Vegas we arrived to the hotel. We had a room, with a veranda, on the ground floor facing onto a lovely pool area that also had a jacuzzi. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. After getting settled in the room we went for an evening dip in the pool. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the main restaurant and shopping street. The staff were pleasant and helpful and there was plenty of off street parking in the adjoining car park.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool area as then you are not next to any of the surrounding streets.
