“WE'RE BACK AGAIN.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

We were here last year for our anniversary and we are back again. This time ,we were in the Marian Davies room-much brighter than last year's Library room . The decor was lovely ,the bathroom was large and there was plenty of hot water. The beauty of this place must include the warm welcome we were given and the care shown to us by the staff. Breakfast was delicious-what could be wrong with eating a 3 course meal on linen tablecloths steps away from a waterfall surrounded by lush plants? In the evening, a variety of hors d'oeuvres were served along with some very decent wines. If you want a flashy place, don't come here. For laid back atmosphere and utter relaxation, you can't go wrong by staying at this gem.

Room Tip: Look at the web site. It is quite accurate.And-then choose. We loved the Marian Davies room.

Our 3 days stay at The Willlows was an extraordinary, most enjoyable introduction to Palm Springs. The wonderful, picturesque small inn, a most gracious staff, the delicious breakfast at the waterfall, the relaxing wine reception in late afternoon and a midnight swim in the pool will always remind us to come back!

The property and the hotel ( more of a home) were beautiful. The staff Steve, Gordon and the women could not have been more helpful. I loved our room, we took A bath which was lovely and the shower was great too. Another plus were the towels, you will want to buy them. The history of the property was very interesting. We had guests join us for wine on the terrace and they want to stay there next time.

Room Tip: I got to see several and they were all great

Excellent service and elegant accommodations. Very charming, definitely the place to stay in Palm Springs, particularly convenient for events at the Donnelly House or any other downtown Palm Springs event

The Willows is just 2 blocks from the heart of Palm Springs village but feels private, secluded, privileged. 8 rooms total, beautifully decorated with subtle, exquisite taste, with gorgeous antiques in every room. Bed and linens are luxury quality, bathrooms spacious and well-appointed. We stayed in the Loft which featured a claw foot tub with hand held shower (we would opt for one of the other rooms with both tub and shower next time). Breakfast is served in the indoor/outdoor dining room in front of a massive rock wall waterfall. Breakfast includes freshly baked muffins (creative recipes like corn-blueberry) followed by an interesting fruit dish (broiled grapefruit with honey, berries with vanilla yogurt and fresh mint)' and concluding with hearty entrees (portabella mushrooms stuffed with herbed eggs served with chicken sausage was exceptional). It is like having breakfast at the home of a dear friend who is a fabulous cook. Hors d'ouevres are served from 5:30 - 7 pm. Yum! We enjoyed dates stuffed with cream cheese and garnished with chopped nuts, stuffed mushrooms, asparagus wrapped with prosciutto and baked, avocado bruschetta with pesto, lime-cilantro marinated shrimp, and other tasty items served with a nice selection of wines. Grounds are manicured and colorful with meandering paths around the property. Many seating areas with beautiful views of the hillsides and waterfall. Pool area is luxurious and the staff regularly brings ice water and iced tea. Well worth the price; can't wait to return.

Room Tip: The Rock, Acanthus, and Palm are on the pool level; very nice if you'll be making a lot of use o...

My husband and I spent four nights in the Library Room in November, 2012. We have stayed in some of the best hotels/resorts/inns in North America and The Willows tops all of them! It was a truly wonderful experience. This historic inn is wonderfully situated just two blocks from downtown, yet it is so quiet and peaceful. The inn is decorated in 1930s style; the Library Room had rich, hand-carved furnishings--and yes--lots of books! This room is ideally located off the main house's patio. Most other rooms are accessed by first passing through the great room.

Because I have dietary restrictions, the staff accommodated my needs at breakfast. My husband, though, was able to indulge completely in the three-course gourmet breakfasts! Hors d'oeuvres and wine were served every evening either in your room or in the great room--your choice. Steve and Gordon were very professional, helpful and friendly. Steve gave us a tour of all of the rooms of the inn, excluding the one or two that were occupied at the time, and told us the history of the inn, formerly a private residence, which was fascinating. He also booked our dining reservations at Le Vallauris (separate review).

The grounds are beautiful and the pool area lovely and private. The Library Room has its own private terrace.

We most definitely will return to The Willows, probably next fall. It is one of the few places I can recommend without hesitation. It was pure luxury!!

Room Tip: The Library Room is beautifully appointed and very quiet.

If you're looking for fabulous, this is the place, from the welcome, to the excellent breakfasts and appetizers, the rooms and sense of peace and privacy. Just a few minutes walk to the main drage of Palm Springs. Gordon and Steve gave excellent recommendations for dinner one evening and great smooth jazz another.

Room Tip: The rock room overlooks the pool and hot tub, giving it an open feeling.
