Having spent two nights at the Old Ranch Inn, we can confirm that all the reviews on this site are absolutely right. In fact, there was only one thing wrong with our stay and that was it lasted only two nights and not longer! We stayed in room 3 which was beautifully furnished with great attention to detail so we were very comfortable and were particularly appreciative of the small kitchen and the very large bathroom. Room 3 is opposite the office but this did not present any problems for us. Our advice would be to go online and check out all the rooms on the website using the virtual tour which will make you feel you are already there. Larry and Ed are very genial hosts who really know Palm Springs and can give friendly advice and information on the town and its surrounds. There is such an easy-going atmosphere at the Old Ranch Inn that guests cannot help but relax immediately. Walking to the main streets of shops and restaurants takes only a few minutes which is an added bonus. Surprisingly, the hotel was very quiet despite its proximity to the centre of town. We can thoroughly recommend the Old Ranch Inn and can't wait to go back and stay longer next time.

Room Tip: Spend some time looking at the virtual tour of the hotel on the website if you can. You will be abl...

I stayed here once about 4yrs ago and always hoped to get back.
Sometimes returning to a place can be rose-tinted glasses syndrome where the place isn't actually as good as you remember...
but in this case it's more of a fine wine syndrome where it just gets better

All the positive things you've read are true so I won't repeat...

but the exceptional attention to detail provided by the owners is what keeps this place so good.

And the location is also second to none

love this place and hope to return.

Room Tip: there aren't really bad rooms from what I can make out so it's really down to choosing a siz...

I've been going to Palm Springs for many years and have stayed in many different places. I have to say that the Old Ranch Inn is now on the top of my list. My daughter and I were away for a weekend together. We were very impressed with everything. Ed was so nice and accommodated our early check in with no problem. The room was perfect and so nicely decorated. (We especially loved the colors and decor in the bathroom! The shower was awesome.) I highly recommend it! :)

This was our first stay at the Old Ranch Inn, but what a great experience. Its perfect for a couples "getaway ". The rooms are a step or two away from your private poolside patio. They are nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. Our unit had a small kitchen that was great for preparing morning coffee & toast, and afternoon/evening snacks and cocktails. The entire staff was extremly helpfull in every regard... from driving directions to dining recommendations.I wouldn't recommend it for families with younger children, but if you are a couple looking for a quiet get-away,its great.... 5-stars all the way. There is a small sign in the hallway as you enter the hotel..... " Enter as strangers, leave as friends " That says it all. My wife and I can't wait to return !!

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and had great decor. The pool area was very nice. Owners were very pleasant and easy to deal with. We checked in later than planned, and we called them to let them know and our late arrival was no problem. We would stay here again!

A lovely property, with rooms surrounding a great pool.
A little, tranquil oasis, ideal for relaxing in the heat.

Ed and Larry are the perfect hosts.
Attentive, chatty and willing to help wherever they can.
They provided maps and info about Palm Springs and, most helpfully, a list of the best restaurants in the area, along with a little description on those they personally thought best.

A small breakfast is put out in the morning with tea, coffee and fresh fruit. Ideal for starting the day with.

The property is ideally located, only a two minute walk from the majority of Palm Springs' shops, bars and restaurants.

Searching for a place for our 20th anniversary get away. Once the decision was made for Palm Springs we had many wonderful places to chose from. Finally decided on the Old Ranch Inn. And, we made an outstanding choice. If first impressions are the key then Ed is the key master. Warm, friendly and a very pleasant way to start our trip. This place is a very quaint, very quite and low key. If you are looking for big, loud place to stay then the Old Ranch Inn is not for you. Wonderful, comfortable room. Easy walking access to town. Obviously you can tell I am a big fan of the Old Ranch Inn and I suspect you will be too.
