“So worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

We did this hike today. For $12.50/adult you get to hike a 1.8 mile round trip hike on the reservation. It is so beautiful and there is a nice big waterfall near the top of the hike. It is so beautiful. Also watch the 12 minute film at the visitor center to get interesting history of the canyon. The hike is easy but has some stairs.

“Powerful Beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

This a gem in the desert! We hiked in low 70 degrees, so it was just right - cool in the shade, freezing cold stream water, and warm sunlight. It's a fairly easy hike, about 2 miles in and out. The spiritual and historical power of this canyon is hard to ignore. The whole canyon is beautiful with a stunning landscape of massive rock outcroppings and dark water spilling over sparkling boulders. Great bird watching. Every turn, there is something special to see and photograph. In years past, Tahquitz Canyon has suffered some mistreatment and was even off limits for a while. It deserves to be seen and treated with special care and respect. Our favorite activity during our Palm Springs visit.

“easy way to spent a couple of hours in nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

nice easy hiking to the waterfall. we were on a ranger-led hike with a super nice and knowledgeable guide. the temperature was perfect (November) but I would not want to be here in Summer! scenery is mostly all rocks and then you get to a 60' waterfall at the top. lovely way to spend the afternoon.

“Take the tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

Went early in the morning and done the 8am tour with Chris the ranger, don't normally do this kind of tour but he was excellent and there was so much going on right in front of us that we would of missed had we not been on the tour.
The tour takes around 2 hours just under 2 miles with regular stops along the way and is worth doing, the waterfall was worth the walk for.
Be sure to bring plenty of water for the trip.
Leave the exhibition to the end end of the tour it makes better viewing.
Need to be fit enough to walk on uneven ground and go early if affected by the heat.
