I stayed at the Springs while attending the Palm Springs Film Festival in January. It was a cozy and convenient home base, being only a few blocks from three of the main festival theaters. The overall property is very pretty and quiet. There is a lovely pool area (with jacuzzi) surrounded by numerous chairs and stacks of large plush towels. There is also a small but well-equipped fitness room with machines, mats, balls and free weights. Massage and spa services are available. The Springs provides a generous continental breakfast in a large lounge area which boasts a fire place. It's a perfect place for lounging at night with friends and drinking tea and cofree. There is free wireless here too. I needed to use my computer in my room which I could also do for free with dial up AOL. I appreciated the large desk space which was well lit and at the right height. The bed was large and very comfortable. I liked the gas fireplace which provided welcome heat in this colder-than-usual January. The closets were large with plenty of hangers. The desk staff were friendly and went out of there way to be helpful with directions and recommendations. I would definitely stay here again. If you come to town for the popular Film Festival, it's an ideal place to stay. The Festival also uses it for their guests so it is a bonus to meet some filmmakers.

My husband and I stayed here for a Friday and Saturday night for our anniversary. The hotel is located very close to downtown, just a half block away. I was initially impressed with the hotel's decor and staff, the rooms were very tastefully decorated and from the looks they have been renovated in the last few years. Every thing was clean and comfortable. We had an upstairs queen room facing the pool, with the back wall facing a seemingly quiet side street. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful during the day, but at night the noise level from the street was so loud that I could not sleep. There was a bar or night club somewhere nearby whose music cranked up about 9 or 10pm and went until 2am every night. The music was close enough that I could recognize each and every song. And you could hear its patrons talking and laughing the whole time. The hotel was fully booked so switching rooms was not an option. I don't know if everyone in the hotel could hear this, perhaps it only affects a few rooms. If you stay here be sure to tell staff that you do not want a room that gets nightime noise. I think next time I'll stay at a hotel two or three blocks away from the action and hopefully I'll get a decent night's sleep.

My wife, mother and I stayed here for three nights in their two bathroom suite (the suite had one bedroom with a king bed and a large sitting room with a queen size pull out couch). Both bathrooms had large jacuzzi tubs and stall showers. My wife and I took the sitting room with the pull out couch which was more than comfortable enough for us. The staff was very friendly and maid service was efficient. The continental breakfast was served in a nicely appointed room next to the main office.

The hotel was relatively quiet which made it easy to sleep in and have a leisurely morning. A side entrance through the spa allows for quick access to the downtown area without the hotel being exposed to the traffic on North Palm Canyon Drive. The hotel location is right in the middle of the downtown area, roughly across the street from the Hyatt and a block away from the Spa Casino Resort.

For those who like a smaller boutique hotel, this is a great value!
