“Great hiking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

I hadn't been to Palm Springs in years. Had no idea there were so many places to hike. The visitor center is very helpful, will give suggestions on hikes, depending on what you want and level of fitness that you're in. There is a donation box there, which I gladly contributed to.

“I live there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

It is the most wonderful place to live! The air is crisp and the view couldn't be better with colorful plants all around and desert noises surrounding you. Peaceful atmosphere any time of the year!

“Loved the hike from here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The visitor center is staffed with good naturalists willing to share about the history and the geology of the area. I went on a naturalist led hike up the Graham Henderson trail and saw various wildlife-eg lizards, and enjoyed it thoroughly.
I highly recommend this visitor center at the foot of the mountains!

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

Absolute stunning 60 mile drive from Palm Desert to Banning, California. Took us about 2 hours with very little traffic while taking time to stop at scenic overlooks. Stopped in Idyllwild for lunch (very nice little town) with a gorgeous backdrop. This drive makes one realize how beautiful our country is. When arriving in Banning you can jump right on I-10 and be back in Palm Desert in 30 minutes or less. Very difficult to describe this drive.....not to be missed.
