“Great for Families big rooms with a kitchen nice pool area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Great pool, slides for the kids, and there is an adult area in the pool if you don't want to be splashed. The rooms are nice and big, we had a 2 bedroom and 1 bath. kitchen was great to have to cook breakfast and lunch. The room was a little old. This is a timeshare place so after you check in they want to try to book a talk. They were offering a $50 visa card. We waited to book it. I called down to see if they had discount soak city tickets, so we got free tickets to do the time share talk, worth it since the tickets ended up being more than the visa card originaly offered, and we have no problem saying no to the timeshare. If you have 2 hours and want a free-bee do the talk. Staff was very friendly overall. When i checked in, there were a lot of people waiting, they only had 2 people working the counter. One of them was very slow, and yawning, while standing in line, that made me irrated since he seemed he didn't really care how many people were in line.
Had zero cell service (with Sprint) while there, had to wait until we were away from the room to make a call. They charge 10 a day for wifi, that is redic. we passed.
we would stay there again if the price was right, close to the market and resturants.

Room Tip: I would suggest staying on the 3rd floor, we were on the 2nd and there was a lot of noise from upsta...

Booked our room through Priceline the week before. We stayed here last year and loved it. This time wasnt as great but still fun! Thinking if might be that they just got bought out buy another company. Allowed for early check-in although our room had soaked carpets from a cleaning but they moved us to a better room w a pool view. Room was clean and comfortable. We had a villa which slept 4 (2 adults & 2 young kids) - couch bed and queen. Love having a kitchen w stove & refrig. Noticed the doors and hallways were a bit dirty and needed some fresh paint. Ice maker was not working in our building and one elevator was out of service. Thankfully that was on our last day. Check in staff was a bit grumpy and we got tired of the concierge trying to sell us the timeshares! Pools were good. Lifeguards were on top of it. Great when you have small children. Loved the drinks at the bar! Pool staff were helpful. Liked having a garage to park in although not for bigger suvs! Resort is close to downtown. They also gave us some great food coupons to use.

I was nervous after reading some very mixed reviews on here but this place is not too bad! Ok so as a Diamond Resorts owner it is not up to the standard you would expect inside but they have only had the place a year and are planning to refurbish it. Outside the resort is lovely, well maintained with a great pool. The basics of a great resort are here and once the refurbishment takes place it will be great.
The rooms are a generous size and clean with comfy beds. They do however have very outdated furniture and fittings, are quite dark and painted in gloomy colours. The towels need replacing too.
The other negatives are the loud music round the pool that woke me up at 7.30am each day, but that was useful as I was then awake to go and put out towels on pool chairs when it opens at 8. I've never done this in any other resort but there are literally people queuing at 8am to reserve pool chairs and if you want a good spot it is necessary.
The resort is a 2 mile trek to the centre of town where the shops and restaurants are so a car is necessary.
There are a lot of rules! And I've never stayed somewhere where there is a mandatory toilet break and the pool is closed and everyone made to get out of the water twice a day! The pool is closed for 30mins at 1pm too. I liked the fact there was a lifeguard on duty in the small pool although their main preoccupation is with policing the slide and reminding you of the rules.

Overall we had a nice week here and once the refurbishment takes place I would definitely return.

Our 2nd visit to this resort and we stayed here for 4 nights in August.
The rooms are enormous, the kitchen in the 2 bedded suite was small but well stocked (I think it was larger in the 1 bedded). The rooms were clean and the beds comfy.
Pool was great as usual.
check in was quick and on site parking available.

Room Tip: ask for a mountain view on a high floor.

I didn't have much hope for this place after reading the reviews but I will give you the pros and cons as objectively as I can.
Pros: Great pool, huge oversized rooms and living spaces, fairly clean rooms, mostly polite staff, bright sunny place, fresh linens, flat screen TV's with plenty of channels. Very close drive to downtown Palm Springs but located in a quiet residential area. Good maintenance people. Large underground parking area.
Cons: Although the rooms are clean, there are bits that really need some TLC. And I contacted management about this. For example, the fronts of the doors are filthy! Just grimy and covered with layers of dirt and dust. Same with the cabinets in the condos. Just have housecleaning wipe it down! Not too hard. The furniture, is old and dated but is still in decent condition. I actually thought I'd hate it but it was okay. There are some odd, disconcerting signs around the place, like "Please don't get into the pool if you have had diarrhea in the past 24 hours". Huh. Really? You need to put that up? Good luck having people follow it and I really don't need to see it. Ugh. There are a few front desk women, like Brooke, who really need some customer service refresher classes. It's the little things like attitude that make a place welcoming. And watch the WiFi charge!!
Overall, it's not the best place I've stayed in, but it is nice and roomy. Wish they had a better restaurant or a bar for adults but it is close to downtown. It's a good place to stay with kids.. Otherwise NO!

Room Tip: Try to get something that overlooks the pool.

Nice place, bit out of the way so a car Is essential. Rooms ok if this was greece, needs a do over. Rusted bathroom plug that sort of thing. Wifi connect is dreadful. Mine was free but if I had to pay the $5 per day I would be kicking off :-/

We got a great Groupon deal for this resort-$69 for a one room suite. We arrived well before check in but were given immediate access to our room. Check in was quick but did come with an offer for a time share presentation before receiving our parking pass. The time share lady was very nice, even after we declined her offer.
The parking garage did not appear to accommodate very large vehicles, but there were parking spots available for those cars. Some other reviews stated that SUVs had to be parked on the street--not true.
Our room was nice. The bedroom had two nice, large closets. The bed was comfy. The kids didn't love the pull out couch so you may want to consider bringing an air mattress. There were plenty of extra pillows, too.
They keep a watchful eye on the 6 pool towels, so be sure to keep track of them or you get charged at check out.
There is a charge for wifi (I didn't use it) We got TERRIBLE service on our iphones, ipads (not sure if it was the hotel or Verizon) so beware.
There was an adequate amount of dishes, glasses, silverware, etc provided with the exception of pans. If you plan to cook, you may want to consider bringing or requesting an extra. Cooking eggs, bacon and pancakes with one pan was a pain. Also, double check your supplies before you start cooking. We were in mid-pancake prep when we realized our spatula was missing (housekeeping brought us a replacement)
There is NOT a washer and dryer in the one bedroom unit. This is a change from most resorts we've stayed at. I do believe they have them available somewhere in each building, just not in the rooms.
The pool area is very nice. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. There are signs on the gates stating that no outside food and drinks can be brought to the pool. We followed this rule for a few days, using the poolside bar instead. The prices were reasonable. We did not order any food but it looked good and wasn't terribly overpriced. We did notice many people were bringing in snacks & drinks (employees also noticed but didn't seem to mind) so we brought in some drinks in a cooler on our last day. No one seemed to notce.
The lifeguards watching the waterslide seemed somewhat grouchy. The pool was completely shut down for a half hour each day (1:00 to 1:30, I think) The waterslide closed at 5:00 each day. There are rafts available for purchase ($5, cash only--they even inflate it for you) Just a few things to keep in mind if you have kids with you.
The resort is not in walking distance of much of anything. There are some grocery stores and restaurants nearby but you need to drive there.
We enjoyed our stay. While this is certainly not a four star resort, it was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We'll be back.
