“Excellent steak - ambiance is old/1800s like”

My wife and I dined there for a birthday last weekend. I had the filet steak which was awesome, she had chicken which she said was very good as well.

Appetizers and drinks were tasty. Yes this place is a bit expensive, but the service is pretty prompt and the dessert was amazing.

My only ding is that the place seems old and 1800s-like. Its not an active ambiance to go with friends, its pretty small and quaint and quiet - can almost put you to sleep. Id rather have something a little more upbeat - but the food is great, no complaints there

Died & went to heaven last night. Trip advisor people are right. This is the best. Hubbie's Osso bucco was the best he ever had-& he's had it everywhere, including Italy. The duck confit was cooked to perfection-no duck jerky here!
Veggies/potato and or rice come with. Chef Rios is the chef & he is an artist He is brilliant with sauces. The menu is extensive, veal, pasta, duck, filet & lobster, fish, pork, scallops, etc, etc. And the wine list is excellent. There are many appetizers to choose from in case you want to have that instead of a salad for a change. And, please! Get the flourless chocolate lava-type of cake with vanilla bean ice cream/gelato. The rolls are absolutely the best with a wonderful chew to them & the garlic/oil/pimento dipping sauce, yumm-o! Chef is after this Hungarian girl's heart. But try to eat just one bec they bring you beaucoup de food. The atmosphere is rather country French and the service is impeccable. You are very welcomed here & the maitre d' is wonderful. No snobs here! We come to PS all the time and go to many restaurants-this is by far now
our new favorite.

“Just ate there in Aug, was Greatest Filet I ever had.”

I went to the resturant which was just around the corner from my hotel (Desert Riviera) and was recommended. It was voted as the #1 resturant in Palm Springs and I believe they are right. I have had food at serveral resturants around the world and on cruise ships, and this is BETTER than any that I have had so far.
We were there during the low season (Summer warm months) so on Wed, Thursdays and Sundays all entrees are 1/2 off. I had the lobster and filet and my sister-in-law had the filet. It had a medly of veggies and some creamed potatoes. A roll with a garlic, olive oil, and I think either olive or artichoke ramin was brought out before dinner. Prior to that we had a small appetizer "Compliments of the chef" which was pate. It was excellant! It was about 111 that day and we drank lots of tea and water. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially worth it during the 1/2 off season and days. What would have been about an $80.00 meal was about $48.00 for two with a nice tip.
You have to walk through the hotels courtyard to get to the resturants entrance. I would suggest the hotel invest in some Swamp misters because the heat off the brick courtyard before entering the resturant was terrible. This would help keep the area cooler by the pool which you pass to get to the resturant.
Matt, the resturant manager, is very nice and accomodating. If I ever go back to Palm Springs I will Definately make it a point to eat at Europa again.

Both the restaurant and the hotel are very romantic - a wonderful place for couples. Fabulous food. In the summer they do buy one get one free entree which is a fabulous deal as it is not a cheap restaurant by any means. We live in Palm Springs & eat here reguarly. We even considered getting married here. Highly recommended.

Don't miss this little gem tucked away in a vintage 1940's Inn in Palm Springs. We we delighted when a longtime PS resident invited us to join them for a dinning experience we won't soon forget. Europa has all the charm and warmth of any fine dining establishment. The bar was intiment and the friendly bar tender poured a great cosmo. The menu offered something for everyone and the wine list was extensive. My husband(formerly in the resturant business) was very impressed with the service. Our dinners were outstanding. The pork chops were done to perfection and my pasta dish was perfect on a warm spring night. A must stop for everyone. Be sure to also walk around the grounds of the Inn.
