“A fabulous anniversary treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

My husband surprised me with a trip to Palm Springs to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We are from Canada, and we both needed a respite from our long, cold winter and spring. While searching for a place for us to stay, he found this amazing place, La Maison. I can't say enough good things about it. We stayed for 5 nites and we could easily have stayed longer. Cornelia and Richard are an amazing host and hostess who make sure that everyone's stay is perfect. Our room was spotless and we enjoyed interacting with the other guests, many from as far away as the UK. Lazing around the pool, with cold beer, water and pop, in Richard's cooler close at hand, only served to add to the wonderful, relaxing experience. He is only too happy to make you a cappuccino in the morning to go with the yummy cakes, scones or mini cinnamon buns, or in my case, 2 cappuccinos! Cornelia is lovely, wanting her guests to want for nothing while enjoying their stay, and will do anything to make sure that her guests enjoy themselves. La Maison is so private and quiet that one feels like they are in a different world. It was hard to say good-bye when it came time to leave but what made it easier was knowing that my husband will be booking our stay at La Maison again next year to celebrate another anniversary! Thank-you for a fabulous stay Cornelia and Richard! See you again soon. Linda

Room Tip: We stayed in # 10 and it was perfect!

We could only get one night here and I'm not surprised it's getting impossible to get in. Service outstanding peaceful quiet and after a day there you feel like your rested, so much so that on out US trip we are doubling back to have 2 more nights there. Private parking fresh cakes for breakfast private entry. Thank you for our great experience.

My husband and I stayed for two nights in May. We're already looking to visit again in June. We usually stay at large hotel chains but thought we'd try something different, and I'm so glad we did. I spent my days laying out by the pool, reading magazines, drinking wine. It was quiet and peaceful. The other guests were all friendly and like us, just there to relax.

The breakfast was simple, but a perfect start to each day. Complementary wine and beer were offered in the early evenings. The rooms were clean, the bed & linens were really comfortable, there were robes in the closet and they had L'occitane products in the bath. There was a mini fridge in the room with two bottles of water, where we stored drinks and leftovers. We walked across the street for lunch (Teriyaki Yogi) and dinner (Giuseppe's), which was very convenient.

We really had such a lovely time. I can't wait for our next stay!

If you live in LA you know how important your weekend getaways are....my friend and I wanted a place where we could truly relax and still be close to downtown and good restaurants. The La Maison Hotel was it, beautiful gardens and pool and you couldn't ask for a more lovely couple to greet you upon arrival. I will definitely return when I plan my next trip to the desert.

We were guests in early March. From the ease of making reservations to the
delightful reception we got when we arrived......truly 5 stars. We felt like we
were in a California hacienda....rooms opening out to a beautiful pool and
patio.our morning espressos personally made by our hosts. The extra effort
on their part makes everyone feel like family.....and they do it so effortlessly.
The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean, the staff takes care of every detail.
Great location. Lovely breakfast bar.We found this on Trip Advisor so you
need to look no further......this is a gem a gem :)

This was our first stay at La Maison, and will be our first choice whenever we may find ourselves in Palm Springs. Richard and Cornelia were always available, unfailingly friendly and helpful throughout our six-day stay, providing excellent restaurant tips (Spencer's for brunch! Smokin' Burgers for casual dining), wonderful continental breakfast fare (the lavender/lemon scones were standouts), and an all-around peaceful, relaxing experience.
Some may find its location a bit too distant from downtown, but it was a plus for us. Family members who stayed closer to town reported a noisier environment.
The rooms were airy, comfortable and clean; the large pool and hot tub beckoned to us each day and evening.
It's difficult to list all the nice touches we experienced at La Maison. Book a stay here, and see what I mean.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was incredible! Lovely hands on owners, gorgeous garden and pool area, beautiful rooms with many nice touches and a great breakfast included. Definitely try the scones!

It is a little distance to town but a cab was only around $10 each way. There is also a supermarket and lunch options at the shopping centre across the road for anything you need.

I will recommend this hotel to anyone I know coming to Palm Springs.
