“A very relaxing place to celebrate our anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

My husband and I chose La Maison based on other favorable reviews of the hotel, and because we thought the French theme would be reminiscent of our trips to France. We were specifically seeking a quaint boutique hotel with a pleasant and charming atmosphere, where we could get a break from our ordinary workaday and parenting stresses. That is exactly what we got. Owners Cornelia and Richard were wonderful hosts and welcomed us (and all the other guests) with cold beer and wine, popcorn, and good conversation. We cannot say enough about what excellent and lovely hosts they were. They made great recommendations for local dining, as well as suggesting a nearby organic spa (Studio M) that gave a 15 percent discount on services to the La Maison guests. The rooms at La Maison surround and look out to the rectangular pool, and are tastefully decorated and clean. The pool was perfect in the 106 degree heat; I think it's a chlorinated pool, but it didn't have an overly chlorinated odor. The other hotel guests were also very friendly, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely return to La Maison, and hopefully sooner than later.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1, which was the last room on the furthest side of the hotel. It had a big, tall b...

We wanted a quite relaxing place to unwind for our anniversary, we found it. It was not thumping loud music around the pool like The ACE or The Saguaro, nor was it a mob scene.
It has about 10 rooms and owners who make lavender scones for breakfast on the weekends. I wish they made them every day.
They played martini in the morning (apple radio) around the pool area after 11am. Served free beer and wine after 5pm and always had lemon and lavender water available (it's very refreshing). The vibe around the pool was quite and very relaxing. They always had fresh towels available and lounge chairs with umbrellas if you’re not in the pool. However, get your lounge chair early, as they don’t have enough for everyone.
Our room was on the same floor as the pool. Once you closed the doors you could not hear anything, it was nice and quite. The room was clean; the linens were soft and the AC worked great. We brought our own food and alcohol and sat outside one night for dinner. It was fantastic.
Well done La Maison, we will be back again.

Room Tip: all rooms face the pool. both levels are lovely

This hotel provided exactly what we were looking for. We were welcomed as guests to La Maison and the hospitality never stopped. The owners are so friendly, the grounds are immaculate, and the room was comfortable and relaxing. You can't really beat a day by the pool with complimentary beer and popcorn! My friend and I loved this experience and will undoubtedly return.

Glad that I read other Trip Advisor reviews and stayed at La Maison Hotel. Absolute and prefect relaxation. Richard and Cornelia are superb hosts - just the right touch and an excellent latte awaiting us each morning! The pool was so beautiful and inviting (
We are note "pool people" that we swam one evening for the first time in 20-years (believe me that says a lot about this place). If you're in Palm Springs, you will not find a better place to stay.

This is great place to relax: gracious owners, Sinatra playing over the sound system while you lounge by the courtyard pool, secluded living plant walls, hummingbirds and butterflies dancing overhead, complimentary wine/beer/snacks, lavender everything, free beach cruisers, and a casual, quiet atmosphere. All of it makes for a serene stay in the middle of Palm Springs. I will definitely be back. Thank you Richard and Cornelia for the wonderful retreat!

We stayed at La Maison for 1 night during our fly drive of the US in June, we have not stayed at a nicer more welcoming hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. The owners are so lovely and welcoming, it really felt like we had known them for years and it was a bit like coming back home. After a long drive from Las Vegas they invited us to join them and their daughter for dinner which was very kind and allowed us to just chill out and relax. The food was delicious and I wish I had asked for the recipes. The room was very nice, clean and spacious, the bed was quite high but very comfortable and the bathroom was perfect for our needs. They had a bottle of prosecco on ice waiting for us which we enjoy by the beautiful pool.
I apologise I have not had time to review this hotel sooner but we have had a hectic few months since we got back from our holidays but I cannot recommend this place enough, you must go and we are looking forward to hopefully return very soon.
