“We really lucked out...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

We hadn't been to Palm Springs for 15 years and are not the la-de-da golf resort kind of people so we didn't really know where to stay. Another hotel that we contacted was full and referred us to La Maison. Cornelia and Richard were great hosts and made us feel so welcome. We had wine and appetizers by the pool most nights, and the intimate size of the hotel (just 13 rooms) allowed us to meet and socialize with the other guests. Bikes were provided to allow us to explore, and our hosts were able to point us to great restaurants and day trips. The rooms are lovely (plans are in the works to redo the bathrooms), our bed was really great, we are looking forward to additional trips to Palm Springs and staying here again. We really felt at home here.

Room Tip: Room # 1 is the best, then # 2. All rooms are great.

We were so happy to find this lovely little Inn with a B&B atmosphere. Innkeepers Richard and Cornelia were so hospitable, with Richard making us lattes every morning with our continental breakfast. One morning Cornelia made lemon lavender scones that were delicious. In the evening they put out complimentary beer and wine, and we sat at the firetable enjoying the evening. The only thing that could have been better is the weather, as it was in the 40 s at night and we had a bit of rain as well. The bedding was heavenly, as were the beds, I would like to duplicate that at my own home! We would have liked to stay longer but look forward to returning again in the future and will certainly recommend this to our friends.

We choose La Maison based on the many glowing reviews here, but found the place to be adequate but perhaps not worth the money. The rooms have have elegant old terracotta floors, as does the pool area, but the bathrooms were remodeled in rather cheap-looking pink ceramic tile and really seemed rather Motel 6-ish. The owners are nice enough, and the pool area has a pleasant, rather Canuck-scented ambience. The room had a rather deodorizer-scented ambience, alas.

I stayed at La Maison recently. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The pool, spa, outdoor area were great. The owners were friendly and we really enjoyed the happy hour and breakfast included in the rate. They also were helpful on things to do. The one downside is it's on a busy street and you get some street noise in the rooms, but it's minimal. I'd definitely go back.

Our trip to La Maison was even better than we expected. Richard and Cornelia are so wonderful: warm, helpful, and around just as much as needed. And the B&B is fantastic: charming, clean, well-run, and relaxing. We found it close enough to everything we needed, but we never wanted to leave. We're already planning a trip back in the spring. We'd love to keep this gem a secret, but want to pay all the wonderful trip advisor tips we've received forward.

This small inn is close enough to the action to be handy, but far enough away to be very quiet and feel private. The hosts, Richard and Cornelia, are welcoming and helpful. Very clean and well maintained with a good deep pool, La Maison is a great place to stay.

I have stayed at La Maison twice and will again. Once in Oct and once in November. Very nice boutique hotel in South end of Palm Springs. (wind free area)
It is owned by a husband and wife who were always available and great to deal with. Offered us ice cold beer and wine upon check in and light breakfast items in the morning.
