Booked this hotel for White Party Palm Springs. What a great hotel. Clean. Comfortable. Attractive. Great location. Reasonable price. The pool area is amazing. with a great view of the mountain. Great location not too far from everything.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed great. All surrounding the pool.

Thank you so much for your review. Looking forward to your next visit.
The cafe should be open by summer, a great addition to the hotel.

I stayed here 2nd week of April and have nothing but praise for the staff and the place. Although a little more expensive than the 'bog standard' motel chains it is worth every penny. Really nice large rooms - well appointed and very modern. The pool is heated and a good size; the poolside chairs/loungers are comfortable and the breakfast room very swish and stylish. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to downtown and there are a few shops in the near vicinity. Palm Springs is a good place for a few days downtime lazying by the pool and I think this hotel is as good as any for that!

Room Tip: All rooms face the pool - if its busy perhaps best to get a room away from the jacuzzi where people...

Our family stayed at the Skylark over Spring break with some friends and although i was a bit nervous at first we all fell in love with this gem of a hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive with good advice when needed and took care of any requests quickly. The small size was a nice change from the usual larger hotels we often stay at. People get to know each other. Close to town and the free trolley stops out front Thurs-Sat. We walked to town a couple morning for coffee. Breakfast was great and simple. Kids loved the pool and the 9' depth at one end. All in all a great place.

Room Tip: One side of the motel has two stories

Really nice, funky motel. The entire place has been redone, but the 1950s ambiance remains. The exterior is fun—the pool area is serene. TV reception was fuzzy, and at night--when everyone was trying to stream on electronic devices--the Wi-Fi was spotty. The breakfast was very basic (and there was no decaf), but, all in all, despite some shortcomings, this property has a wonderful feel to it. And it was clean and safe.

I have to say, the Skylark is a perfect weekend hotel to book and best bang for the buck! The entire hotel was recently redone, down to all new drywall walls! The entire property is very clean. Very adequate size room w/comfortable beds! Wish the pool area had more energy as the weekend we were there did not have much of a pool going crowd. Great location to walk to the design & home stores and Palm Springs top restaurants, including Trio! Also, the staff was nothing but accommodating and personable! My next trip to PS will be staying at The Skylark!

If you want a friendly, clean place to stay with a kind of 1950's Palm Springs feel, this is a great choice and a good value. Although I was traveling solo, my friends were staying across the street, so it made a convenient place to use as a base. Gordon, at the front desk, could not have been more helpful - he made everything easier and better, with his positive can-do attitude. The Skylark doesn't pretend to be too posh - it's been modernized but with fairly small bathrooms (shower stall - no bathtubs in regular rooms). Countertops and some fixtures are new but most large windows are still original single-pane, which let in a little more ambient sound. Although the hotel is located between two fairly busy streets, the rooms face inward, so it's not noisy - also, it's within walking distance of many nice places and restaurants - like the Koffi coffee place and shops along Palm Canyon. The place is family-friendly, so kids were often playing in the central pool - altogether very friendly and welcoming, with excellent staff and management.

Room Tip: If you want to avoid pool noise, ask front desk to put you in a room farther away from the hot tub a...
