Stayed one night (May 19). We were 2 couples and found the 2 bedroom / 2 bath layout just right for our needs. As others have noted, we were impressed with the cleaniness, as well as the friendly staff and near-downtown location. Decided on Desert Vacation Villas after reviewing the pricing of more upscale and not-so-upscale alternatives. Note: When I tried to book directly I was told "no vacancy." With nothing to lose, several days later I tried an on-line service ([--]) and found a vacancy! Bottom line: Keep trying -- it's a great value.

We spent one night at the desert Vacation Villas in April and it was very pleasent. The apratment was very clean and well decorated. The bed rooms were a nice size and it held 7 people very comfortably.The front desk staff was pleasent and very helpful with suggestions on where to go and eat. Very conveniently located, close to the down town.

We were a little sceptical because of the availability and great price at a late date however, this place was great! It was exactly what we wanted and our family of 9 fit perfectly into two units. There was plenty of room to eat and visit in one livingroom and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. We even enjoyed fresh citrus picked from the trees each morning. The view was gorgeous and the location was great. There isn't daily maid service but we didn't want that--that way we didn't have to be out of our rooms at a certain time for the maid to clean. We will definitely go back when we visit Palm Springs again. Thanks!!!!

We were pleasantly surprised because driving up at first, the resort didn't look so great. As we wound our way to the office we saw the pool was large and the landscaping was pretty. The office staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our rooms were just immaculate. A balcony off each bedroom and the livingroom, but some were very small. Nice view. The kitchen was very well equipped and they even provided dish soap, etc. We were so pleased with the cleanliness and fact that we didn't need a thing, that we really didn't care if it was plush and fancy. We had all we needed and would stay there again. The price is right and the location is great. Our furniture, carpet, and linens all seemed new. No complaints here. We're actually still staying here at this time. Linda
