- First trip to Desert Isle: was end of March and early April 2003; all worked out fine. We liked it.- 2nd trip: Reservations (via Tel.) was accepted (VISA) and an upstairs room (no specific number) was agreed to. When we arrived several days later, an upstairs room was not available (maids had left for the day!! - the dask person Lorraine was not able to provide a clean room/ any of the vacant rooms...). We agreed, that the desk person Lorraine should try to find an upstairs room I had requested - while we will wait for about an hour.- When we returned, she had not found an upstairs room.We refused to take a downstairs room # 5. She said, that by Friday she would have a room. We told her Thanks - no, we will go back home on Friday.- I asked her to destroy the paperwork and she agreed. My wife and I left.- To my surprise, Lorraine had charged 1 night to my CC. Another 2 PENDING identical entries are for the amount of $568.32; both entries are dated 5/26/03 (access via Internet displayed current chrges).- My call to discuss the matter with Lorraine at the Desert Isle resulted in a rather unfriendly discussion (after a long wait at my tel. expense)._ I agreed to talk to the manager on Monday and I will point out to him, that Desert Isle failed to delive "Goods or Services" and I demand a full refund from Deseert Isle (Desert Isle Contact: Charles, Manager - tel: 760-327-8469).- Would you buy a Desert Isle TimeShare unit from these people? Do you think I would?
