We booked the entire Del Marcos for a 3 day dream wedding weekend! It was absolutely the best location, the best ambiance and the best time in Palm Springs! Weather in April in Palm Springs is absolutely divine!
The host was excellent helping us with any need that arrived for us or our friends and family. We were assured that it was "our hotel" for the weekend and it made us feel right at home! It is cool to "own" a hotel for the weekend! We had the run of the place! We had a welcome party poolside on Friday night, the wedding and reception poolside on Saturday and then a brunch on Sunday morning. The wedding was just under 50 people and this size was absolutely perfect! Most stayed with us at the Del Marcos with us but a few were around Palm Springs in other hotels. Most people were thrilled to be where the action was at the Del Marcos! We got to take awesome mid century pics in a few rooms as well as the exterior. The hotels backdrop is the San Jacinto mountains so our pictures turned out just swanky and cool as we wanted! Just beautiful!
All the rooms are simply wow-ing (for a mid mod lover!)! All vintage interiors. Very well kept up or redone well. I thought everything was very clean. They have redone all of the bathrooms and there is not two that are alike! All of the rooms themselves are stunning, each having their own personality and name. I was lucky enough to see them all! If you have a group, go for the Oceans 11 room as it has 2 bedrooms and if you want a great suite, go for the Poolside suite or the Erroll Flynn.
Added bonus is they take your dog if you happen to travel with them. I think there is a little fee but GREAT perk!
Short walking distance to all that is on Palm Canyon drive. Highly recommend the Matchbox Pizza Vintage Bistro!
Great hotel, great location, great wedding spot, great city, and a swanky place to be seen with a Martini poolside!
