“Truly a little slice of heaven in the desert!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

How could Alpine Gardens Hotel be rated #8 on Trip Advisor!! I have traveled the world and stayed in many hotels but Alpine Gardens is definitely that little slice of heaven that travelers are always looking for. Tom & Bill pamper their guests; you ask, they provide! I have always found them to be VERY helpful. They are wonderful to chat with as they are a experts about events happening in the desert. As for the hotel, it is immaculately clean, comfortable, the rooms are charmingly decorated and the pool and jacuzzi are well maintained. My favorite thing to do is have coffee by the pool and watch the hummingbirds. Alpine Gardens Hotel is #1 on my list as a truly fantastic place to stay.

This was our first time staying at the Alpine Gardens Hotel. Although we were probably pretty unusual guests, getting up early to spend most of the daylight hours hiking, Bill and Tom were warm and wonderful; they made us feel completely at home each time we saw them, and they were tremendously helpful and interested in how our stay in Palm Springs were going. Our room was great, with hand-painted flowers and leaves on the walls and countless other lovely touches in its decorations. This certainly will be our first choice when next we visit Palm Springs.

This was our second visit in three months but unfortunately only for one night. Tom checked us in and made us feel like we were returning to an old friends home. We had the same room as before, room 6. The accommodation is very clean and well decorated. Besides the complementary bottle of wine in our room there was also a box of chocolates for my wife's birthday, a very thoughtful touch. Thanks Tom & Bill, if we are in California later this year we will definitely be staying again.

Room Tip: You will be happy with any room at this hotel.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in a thousand little ways. It's beautifully maintained, the bed was beyond comfortable, the room felt like home in the best possible way. You can feel the care and attention to detail that the fabulous hosts, Tom and Bill, put into every single aspect of everything. I completely agree with what JefferyLAX says, the service is low key and utterly flawless. None of the fake "friendliness" of the chains, these guys mean it -- they care and it shows. When we walked in, it was as if all of the 24/7 stress of the city vanished -- just being there is relaxing, rejuvenating and -- sheesh, this is a word I never use, but it applies -- heavenly.

The guys who run this hotel are the nicest, most thoughtful, most detail oriented men ever. From bringing us water and treats poolside to making sure we had everything we needed for the wedding we were going to - we loved this place and will be back as soon as we can.

This may have been our 5th or 6th stay - and they get better each time. The property is small and well-maintained by the owners who go out of their way to make sure the guest is well taken care of. From remembering our birthdays to giving me a ride over to the airport - the service provided is low key and flawless. If you are done with the big chain hotels (we were) this is the place to come home to.
