This hotel exceeded our expectations in a thousand little ways. It's beautifully maintained, the bed was beyond comfortable, the room felt like home in the best possible way. You can feel the care and attention to detail that the fabulous hosts, Tom and Bill, put into every single aspect of everything. I completely agree with what JefferyLAX says, the service is low key and utterly flawless. None of the fake "friendliness" of the chains, these guys mean it -- they care and it shows. When we walked in, it was as if all of the 24/7 stress of the city vanished -- just being there is relaxing, rejuvenating and -- sheesh, this is a word I never use, but it applies -- heavenly.
