My wife and I stay at Sundance Villas each year during the Palm Springs Film Festival. It is the best kept secret in Palm Springs. The resort has a long list of celebrity clients who like to hide out there. We bumped into a few coming and going.

It was very private with our own pool and jacuzzi spa. the furnishing are comtemporay, it is very clean, and it is located only a few minutes from downtown shopping and the best restaurants.

It has been under the same management for 20 years, so they know Palm Springs like the back of their hand. Plus, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Pros: places are cleaned daily
Cons: very old and in need of serious upgrades. Dingy upholstered furniture and musty smelling cabinets.Oven dates back to the seventies, but was clean. Peeling paint on exterior. Also, located in rundown neighborhood. Not worth the price. Would not recommend to friends.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Sundance Villas and the place was really terrific. It's so distictive and not like any ordinary place to stay while on vacation. It's really your home away from home, and I do hate cliches. Checking in was the easiest I've ever experienced mainly because we were greeted by our names since they are expecting you. We stayed in "Villa Le Monde". Check out the website... the pictures don't do it justice. We had two bedrooms and each has its own patio. In fact there are 3 patios. Each villa has it's own pool and jacuzzi, which was wonderful. I think it's the best part of the whole experience. I didn't want to get out to go sight seeing. Anyway, each villa has a full kitchen stocked with everything you need, dining room-also leads off to a patio with gas grill, living room with vaulted ceilings and fire place; even the master bedroom has vaulted ceilings. The guest room was large itself with adjoining bath. The villas are rather spacious, but cozy at the same time. The staff is also very helpful for the manager herself came to show us how the tv/ sound sytem works. We also loved the sunken shower in the master bath with a wall of glass blocks that lets in the sunlight. You also receive daily housekeeping services and daily newspaper. The welcome basket really came in handy. Especially if you arrive late in the evening. Sundance is far enough, but close enough from the main strip. I've stayed in Hyatt suites a number of years ago, but even since the Hyatt is on the main strip, Sundance is far better if you like the suite experience. The only thing missing is room service, if you so desire that type of service normally found in the standard resorts. We came knowing it doesn't exist here. In my opinion if youre coming here with with your teens, I would think about it because it's quiet and the only real social gathering place would be the main pool. It's also in a residential area. Would definately recommend this place to anyone seeking privacy. Just have to say I didn't want to leave.

Lovely trip. The condo was spacious and clean. The management was attentive and very pleasant. Unlike Oasis Water Resort in Palm Springs, this place is top-notch all the way.

My last trip to Sundance was trip number 3, and it was as fabulous as the first two. The villa exuded serenity, comfort and relaxation. Taking a dip in the private pool at midnight, seeing the stars and palm trees swaying in the night wind made it all worthwhile. Plus, I didn't have to get all "gussied up" in the morning to go to breakfast - just go into the kitchen and make a leisurely meal. If you're looking for romance, privacy and total relaxtion, Sundance is the place. I'll be back soon!

Mountain views....private pool and spa....huge sunken bath with beautiful landscaping to enjoy while you relax. I love having a 'home away from home' while I'm on vacation and Sundance has it all. Fully equipped kitchen, big comfy couch to sink into and watch movies or just read and watch the sun set over the mountains, bedrooms with private baths. Complete sound system to enjoy my favorite CD's. I love that I can wake up in the morning take my coffee out to the back and sit by the pool and listen to the desert sounds and feel that crisp wonderful mountain air - heaven! The beauty of Sundance is this: you are far enough away from all the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get into it if you should feel a need to. We took the kids to the aerial tram, Joshua Tree, golfing, too many restaurants to remember, movies, shopping - you name it. And when it was time to go 'home' and relax, we couldn't wait to get back to Sundance. Truly beautiful and my favorite place to get away from it all....
