Nestled at the base of Mt San Jacinto, Ingleside Inn has a small private inn feel with beautiful gardens, good service and charm of a time past. Pool area is relaxing and serene. Loved our stay in a quiet neighborhood ofPalm Springs, yet close enough to walk to town.

I have stayed here at least 5 or 6 times. Always good. The pool has to be one of the best around. big grassy lawn with a deep pool. plenty of room for everybody. You can order good food at the pool all day which is awesome. There is also a ping pong table, hot tub, Ice tea and water to drink and comfortable lounge chairs. Another big plus for me is the location. Its right in downtown so you can walk everywhere. Some of the rooms are a little dated but to me its no big deal. I was just there in April 2013

Room Tip: some of the rooms have private patio's which are nice.

I cannot say enough good things about the Ingleside. My boyfriend and I have stayed there twice (Sept 2009 and Dec 2012) and will definitely be returning in the future! First great thing is that it's adults only. The estate has such a private feel to it - you honestly feel like you're relaxing in someone's back garden - it's great! The staff are discreet and always on hand to accommodate in any way they can. Each room is styled individually, often using antique woods to add to the rustic charm of the place. The inn's restauarant and bar, 'Melvyn's' is a wonderful way to spend an evening - and you may even see Melvyn himself! Mel Haber made the Ingleside the amazing paradise it is today and his autobiographies (found in each room) are well worth a read round the pool.
The local town is only a momen'ts walk away, yet noise is never an issue. The main road has plenty of restaurants and places to get a drink, as well as general shopping opportunities.
The Ingleside has become my favourite hotel in the world and I look forward to spending more happy times there.

This was our first trip to PS. We loved the Ingleside Inn and especially Melvyns and the bar. The food was delicious. It was open mic night in the bar - what a treat! We would definitely come back here.

Spent 4 nights here in Feb 2013 and had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but comfortable and well appointed. Staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful. Close to town centre but felt like a quiet suburban street. Highly recommend for something a little bit different.

Pool area is fantastic for relaxing & enjoying the sun. Great area with lots of beautiful lawn & a bar area where you can help yourself to water, tea, and an ice chest with fresh lemons. It was difficult to leave the pool.

My wife and I have had dinner at Melvyns a few times but have never stayed at the Ingleside Inn. For our 31st Anniversary I booked an overnight at the Inn and Melvyns as a surprise. From the time we checked in we could not have been treated more gractiously. There was a complimentary bottle of Champagne in our rooom along with a fruit tray, soft drinks and water. We spent time around the pool area just relaxing. The staff was always attentive and asking if we needed anything. Dinner at Melvyns in the evening was excellent and we received a special dessert for our Anniversary. We opted for the Standard room. While older, it was okay and clean and pleasant. The Inn has a special atmosphere about it that brings back memories of an earlier, more relaxed time. It is within an easy walk from downtown Palm Springs if you want to break-away from relaxing around the pool and do some shopping. All-in-all a very enjoyable experience and one that we would certainly recommend for anyone looking for a romantic get-away.

Room Tip: If you want to spend the extra money the deluxe rooms offer a bit more luxury than the Standard Room...
