Nice place to get away for a night or two or three.... Manager's reception was great as you meet new people and strike up conversations. Kudos to Kenny --best bartender I have come across - friendly, remembered your drinks, conversed with everyone and constantly stocked snacks. Hotel is very family oriented - breakfast was great and beds were comfy. Already planning a ladies only weekend at Embassy Suites :)

I've stayed with the Hilton Hotels quite a bit for myself and for business. I'm a proud Hilton Honors member and generally Embassy Suites are great. This was a barely 1 star cheap motel in comparison to other properties. The room was smoky and noisy. No Hilton Honors acknowledgement at all here, just another number here.

Contacted the hotel regarding this issue and received a lackluster response.

Lots of signs regarding theft of valuables in the parking lot. Must be a high theft area too. Bad location.

Take your business elsewhere. Lots of other hotels to stay at in the area.

My initial contact was quite pleasant and positive. We agreed to reserve a minimum of 10 rooms and that the hotel would furnish a meeting room for us. When I checked later to confirm the arrangement I was told that we could not have the room until breakfast was over and that we needed to be out of the room by the cocktail hour and I was very upset and did begin to look for another hotel. At the last minute the hotel called and agreed to give us the room until closing time. . Communication should certainly be more detailed and not have so many things omitted. We are a family of 16 children and have a reunion every year. We have used Embassy Suites in several other cities and were very satisfied. Your staff needs some training.

I have stayed here several x's over the years. This time was 'spontanious'. To enjoy the 100+ degree heat, and the pool. The spa was out-of-order, and looked "grey" There was a GIANT cockroach, in my bedroom. Of which I "extinguished". And considered 'reporting the cockroach'. But decided it was not worth the effort. Half of the hotel was "closed-off" for renovations, and the pool was BUSY with activity. Lots of "rednecks" hanging out, with loud music, and LOTS of screaming children. The 'included' cocktail hour (There IS NO SUCH THING AS free) generous drinks, (my beer was warm) BUT the bartender, I knew him from before, was VERY nice & Friendly. The bar/lounge/breakfast room smells like vomit (fermented beer from the kegs) Kind of "off-putting". But the room itself: Very Nice. Not wild about the design of the bathroom & Door. There is no room to stand, with the door open in the room, and impossible to manuver in the BR while trying to close the door, standing inside. The A/C coul;d've worked better. The Front Desk staff: ALL VERY friendly & helpful. Great "business center" NO FEE! The breakfast (included NOT free) acceptable; it's made to order. (be sure to give the chef a small tip $1-$3, it's a "thankless" job, same with HSKPNG. A small "tip" adds to overall-morale. Again a totally 'thankless' job.

Room Tip: DO NOT GET A ROOM next to a Elevator machine room!

First and for most Palm Dessert is a really nice place to vacation. Top attractions, golf and shopping. With roughly 110 golf courses and a mini Rodeo Drive, I like to think of Palm Dessert as the upscale laid back vacation in the dessert. The hotel is located right next door to a grocery store and a coffee shop, even though the coffee offered in the rooms are very tasty. The hotel is under renovation and with that comes some inconvenience. The biggest inconvenience though was the jacuzzi being out of order all weekend and the pool needing some serious attention. Besides many tiles on the edge of the pool needing to be replaced or repaired, the circulation was not running quite up to par leaving the water full of insects and cloudy. In the middle of August it would have been nice to swim in the pool! The only other minor inconvenience was no free WiFi. It's good the rooms are being updated, the carpets really need replaced. The breakfast was right up there with other Embassy Suites along with the pleasant staff. This tiered hotel has a lot of potential.

Room Tip: North side of the hotel where the renovation was happening would normally be quieter then the rooms...

We received a great price for 3 nights. I am assuming it is due to the construction ongoing. However, I'm not sure it was worth it. Electrical issues. Lost power many times and had to switch rooms...Ugh. However!!! we were taken care of at checkout by the staff. Other than that, fine property, great breakfast, don't go just because of the reception at the end of the day. Its OK but wouldn't write home about.

This is a middle of the road hotel in the middle of the desert. Your mind won't be blown away and neither will your pocket book. The breakfast adds value as does the manager's special in the evening, but the rooms need to be updated starting with the keys. When the engineer shows up and says you have to push the key in further and then wait a few seconds, it's time to re-key the doors.
