“Great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Wow! The size of our one-bedroom,air conditioned apartment was amazing. This was just the place we hoped it would be - well furnished and comfortable and the perfect place to relax. Although with such fantastic weather,we didn't spend too much time in the apartment and this is where our courtyard-style balcony came in to use. Complete with dining table and chairs -and a gas fire for chilly evenings! - it was the perfect place to eat. We also had a smaller balcony off the lounge, over looking the gardens towards the mountains and fab sunsets.

There is nothing negative to say about this place. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen well-stocked, 2 showers, the terrace with fireplace provides an added dimension for enjoying the surroundings. We stayed in a 1 bedroom. Front desk is very cheerful and helpful. Several pools to choose from, depending on your family's needs. Manager routinely patrols the area to make sure everything is in tip-top shape. Landscaping is immaculate. Golf course is right next door, and provides an interesting contrast landscape-wise to the desert and mountains. November is a great time to visit - the desert was in bloom, and it wasn't too hot.
We stayed in building 18, unit 4. Buildings 12, 14, 16, 18 are near the smaller family pool. Odd numbered buildings are near the 2 adult pools. The main building also has a large family pool with 3 spa pools plus a child pool.
We did not have an outdoor shower; but I don't see what the big deal is about that, unless you stay here during very hot weather.
If you like to golf, this is the place for you! We will definitely return!

Room Tip: Less neighbor noise on the 2nd floor (there are only 2 floors), but I don't think we would have...

My husband and I stayed here with our 14 month old twins. We had a two bedroom, first floor suite, which was actually two separate units with a connecting door (each unit had its own outside entrance). The smaller one had a shower, no tub and essentially a wet bar with a microwave while the larger unit had a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, HUGE walk-in shower plus a separate area with a large soaking tub/shower combo. The only strange part was that the huge (and I mean HUGE) shower was in the bedroom. It did have the best water pressure and the water got VERY hot! Our suites did not have an outdoor shower.

We arrived at 10 pm local time (midnight our time). The clerk was not immediately available, but the security guard radioed him and kept me company until he arrived a few minutes later. Both were extremely friendly. I had called 2 days ahead to ensure that we would have 2 cribs in the room for the twins. The clerk assured me that there would be and if not to call and he would immediately take care of it. Well, when we got to the room, there were no cribs. I called and within 5 minutes the clerk and the security guard were at the door with the 2 cribs (pack-n-plays).

The suites were clean and well appointed. They lacked a little on the toiletries. In the showers they had bottles attached to the walls with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bathrooms had one thing of lotion and a bar of soap.

They do not clean the rooms daily, but if you stay 5 days or more they do come and clean thoroughly once during your stay. You can ask for more, but it isn't standard. Our rooms were cleaned well but the cleaning staff threw away our sink sponge, bar soap and lotion without replacing them with new ones.

Each building has its own laundry facility (which I did have to use thanks to a diaper malfunction). The washer and dryer are the small stackable kind, so don't expect to get much into each load. They are free to use and they provide powder laundry detergent.

The two separate suites were perfect for us. The twins could nap and go to bed and we had an entire suite to ourselves. Both had outdoor patios with gas fireplaces. Our rooms overlooked one of the many pools and part of the golf course.

We didn't do much at the resort except sleep and hang out during the twins naptime. We did take them to the 1 1/2 foot kiddie pool and the hot tub (both were a huge hit). The pools are heated and they, including the hot tubs, are salt water, which I wasn't expecting. I think you can borrow bikes to ride. They are also tennis courts and a basketball court.

Every night they show two movies in their movie room. The early one is kid-friendly and the later is adult. They also have an extensive DVD library you can borrow from as each room has a DVD player. Each suite also had a sound system to listen to the radio or dock your iPod.

The kitchen is full equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, pots, pans, silverware, a toaster, cooktop, microwave/convection oven (no full sized oven), refrigerator with ice maker, dish washer and Tupperware. They even have a list of items you can "borrow" from the front desk should you need something specific. There are also several very nice outdoor grills and we took advantage of this one night to grill chicken.

The landscaping is very clean with lots of desert flowers, cacti and palm trees. At dusk the bunnies come out (or jack rabbits, not sure which). On one night we counted about 10 bunnies outside our condo!

Local attractions that we found enjoyable: The Living Desert Zoo, The Pines to Palms highway (highway 74) and the Palm Springs Aerial Tram. Best place we ate was Sherman's Deli! Huge sandwiches and lots of baked goods. Definitely worth a try.

If we go back to Palm Springs I would definitely stay here again.

One bedroom, spacious "great room" to invite people over for dinner. We enjoyed a private balcony. Best part was an informative tour given by the groundskeeper. I've removed one point because the property did not have much in the way of amenities and check in was disorganized and confusion about our stay. Still, a beautiful property.

Room Tip: Close by mall to purchase groceries and sundries.

We had an incredible stay at this Club. The grounds are beautiful, with stunning views of the mountains surrounding the area. The facilities are top notch. Although the Club was full when we were there, you could hardly tell. Pools and hot tub facilities were excellent. Some of the 'adult' pools were small, but they were fine for cooling off.

Our unit was gorgeous! Spacious and welcoming, it had everything we needed and more. The outdoor dining area with fireplace was a lovely treat, as was the outdoor shower (in addition to the shower in the huge bathroom).

The service here was excellent. We arrived early but were treated well and provided with lots of assistance to enjoy the Club until our room was ready. The Club is also within short driving or walking distance to a plaza with restaurants and a grocery store with all you need. Of course, there was complimentary wi-fi. We can't wait to go back.

We are Club Intrawest members so we knew what to expect going in, even though this was our first time in Palm Desert. We travelled with another couple so had a 2BR unit on the first floor. Thus no outdoor shower but, really, is that what would make a difference in your trip? The unit was very large and comfortable with adequate privacy for 2 couples- it was a lock-off unit as we wanted 2 King beds. The staff was very nice and helpful, even prior to arrival. Our unit was close to the adult pool which was very nice. As it was still considered summer season and the temps were 105-108, it would have been nice to have more umbrellas for shade. However, the front desk does blow up your floats for you! The Club is in a great location to golf, spa, restaurants and shopping .The only downside to this Club location is no washer/dryers in the units which is something we are used to and enjoy but not a big deal. Our friends really are not familiar with staying in "time shares" on vacation and they were totally blown away by the Club Intrawest experience. We will definitely be back next year!

I can't say enough great things about this resort! Total relaxation, great staff, immaculate grounds, great location and beautiful rooms. Mine was a 1 br with an outdoor dining area that was also the entryway to the lr and kitchen. It had an extra outdoor shower which I utilised each and everytime I showered. Even late evenings were perfect.
Close to shopping, Ralph's for food, and restaurants, you have to do the Cork Tree restaurant! Golf courses on site and others close by. Definitely a golfing mecca.
Staff was always friendly and gave great suggestions on where to go and what to try in the area based on our queries. Will definitely be heading back one day!
