“Wonderful 10 days in Palm Desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

We had a 10-day stay at this resort. For a family vacation, it was a very good price vs. quality option. Everything was very well maintained: room, outdoor facilities, and area around buildings. Five tennis courts as well as three pools were in excellent condition. All barbeque ovens were in very good operational condition and always clean. Our studio room (# 165) had a fully equipped kitchen with all utensils and appliances, large in area balcony. One of barbecue ovens was right near our building as well as hot tub (spa). The staff was helpful and very friendly all the time, thanks to all of them. Our special thanks are to Alejandra of reception who got all information that we were looking for and made a necessary arrangement for us in a few seconds. To sum up, great resort with great service and facilities, wonderful 10 days in Palm Desert, and our strong will to come there back again.

My friends and I usually stay at the Westin in Ranch Mirage, but we were on a tight budget this year and so low cost was our top priority. I found a great deal for a studio, but I was skeptical and poured over reviews and looked at pictures thinking this resort was too good to be true.
Nope! This place is exceptional. The room was very clean and updated (and quite spacious for a studio). The kitchen was clean and well stocked with an oven being the only thing missing. We didn't miss it though. There were burners and a microwave plus plenty of bbqs throughout the resort. The bathroom was basic but new and had double sinks. The grounds were lovely! Three pools, with one reserved for adults only. The staff was helpful and kind and the girl who checked us in accommodated our request for an upstairs room and early check in.
The only minus is that it was a far drive from downtown Palm Springs and some of the hiking we wanted to do, but that really is minor compared to all the resort has to offer! We will make this our new go to hotel in Palm Desert.

Though an older time share facility, it has undergone some reno's and upgrades. Units are clean, not open plan like newer places but they do offer lots of room.
The newer buildings offer more deck / balcony space, lower units are better if near the pool.
Units have hot tubs in the front....nice to use in the evening and not have to walk to the pool area. The pools are clean and quiet. The pool near the tennis courts has washrooms so that is something to think about.
Wifi costs $15/device per week...but parking is free so it's a trade off.
All in all good value if you are looking for a " non- party" out of the wild spring break type scene and kind of place that is still close to things like Living Desert, restaurants ( La Quinta and Palm Desert) and lots of shopping, trails and hikes!
No on site food or beverage facilities.

Room Tip: choose upper unit ....they have vaulted ceilings and feel more open. Pick lower unit that faces a po...

The best thing about this resort are the lovely grounds. Lovely to walk around and enjoy the well-kept lawns, gardens, pool and pond. The unit we stayed in was not well maintained. We suspected it had not been occupied recently and the staff had not made any effort to check that things worked...examples..washroom fan was noisy and needed WD40, poor hot water supply, no remote was supplied for dvd player, stove-top burners did not get hot, safe in closet did not work. The poolside bbqs would not start. Not a maintenance item but the washroom door scraped against the toilet...very poor design. Also disappointing to see double bed when queen bed is now the hotel standard. It is too bad that they either don't have the funds or the desire to maintain the resort as they should. The resort was obviously built to a high standard but based on our experience it is not being maintained at that standard or being improved. As with all desert resorts except those in the center of Palm Springs, you need a car to enjoy the area.

Resort is quiet, well maintained and very restful. Close to lots of shopping, restaurants and right across from Indian Wells Tennis Gardens which is perfect location for the tennis tournaments in March. Gated community with pools, tennis courts and exercise room. Nice to walk the grounds and enjoy the Jacuzzi under the stars.

We stayed for two nights and wish it had been longer. We had a large king sized bed and we also had two bathrooms! Our room was 163 and our friends stayed in room 164 which was on the first floor which only had one bathroom. It was great as we were also near the pool . I enjoyed the fact that we weren't confined to just a bedroom and had breakfast on the veranda both days . I would definitely stay here again. It was a really comfortable bed . It was also excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Room 163 was on the ground floor and near the pool area

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2015

Stayed for a week in December. Standard condo construction and furnishings. We had a 2nd floor Studio with a roomy balcony. The weather was on the cool side when we were there and there were some minor maintenance issues with rain but overall the unit was well maintained and had a super comfortable bed. The midweek cleaning was very thorough. We did not use the pools because of the weather but they looked lovely and the tennis courts also appeared to be in excellent condition. I would recommend this complex for anyone attending the Paribas Tennis Tournament in March as the Indian Wells Complex is well within walk distance. I would stay here again.
