“Lovely French Bisto with Great Energy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Located on a corner of El Paseo, during high season, reservations are a must. The menu is classic French with a strong Mediterranean influence. They have several great price fixed meal options. Portions are generous. Luckily they have "half order" options for dessert which are the perfect size to share and satisfy your sweet tooth. The service was wonderful, attentive but not smothering. We brought a very nice bottle of wine which they graciously opened and poured for us. My only complaint would be the wine glasses should be upgraded for really nice wine.

“Tasty Food, Good People Watching on El Paseo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

The proprietor is lively and accommodating. The food is dependably tasty with a varied menu and sitting outside along El Paseo is fun. Good for breakfast, too.

“Delicious and good atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

On main El Paseo of Palm Desert with windows to the intersection but street calm in the evening. We went on Wednesday when they have live music and were glad to be seated in the front room away from the rather loud small band. Food was excellent - lobster and shrimp crepes and salmon. Seating is open air when the weather is warm enough but was enclosed when we went in late December.

“Another Great Restaurant in the Palm Desert area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

The concierge at Marriott made the reservation for us. Front window (open) on the intersection. Nice atmosphere, great service and great food. Drinks and wine - good! Food - excellent. Had a variety of items, Seafood Fueilette - Shrimp, scallops, mushrooms in a light cream sauce in a puff pastry. Wow/ Seafood linguini shrimps, clams, mussels- great! French onion soup - also great. We had a nice time here. Will definitely come back.

“Historically and consistently excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Cafe de Beaux Arts has been around for years and there is a reason it continues to draw new as well as repeat customers. They do breakfast on the weekends as well as lunch and dinner throughout the week. Try the scrambled eggs and salmon for breakfast and I guarantee you will be duplicating this at home. I love the cold poached salmon at lunch but my wife favors the Shrimp Louie with a cup of soup. For dinner the Boulabaisse is out standing, although my favorite is the seafood feuillete. The killer desert is the fresh berries with Chambord and heavy cream. This is a place for food lovers who also look for just the right wine to pair with a meal. If you haven't been - go there, trust us. You will then become a regular!
