“We love Mitch's!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Have heard mixed reviews, but it's a favorite of ours! Great patio, and a nice bar area. We go for sushi and drinks, so can't comment on anything else. Love the jalepeño popper roll - a must try!

“Good But Not Great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

The atmosphere on the outdoor patio is very lovely even in the heat as they have a lot of trees and misters. The food, however, is disappointing in preparation and rather boring. My husband's porkchop was overcooked and dry as was my daughter's salmon. I ordered the AHI after the waitress exclaimed at how good it was. Not..it was very tasteless. The fourth of our party did enjoy his ribeye. Our sushi app was very ordinary with the fish hidden under too much sauce. The point of sushi is the fish not the sauce. Our waitress was very inexperienced about the food and the wine list ( which is overpriced for run of the mill varieties.) Thinking back it was the atmosphere that was good but the food and service were very disappointing. Mitch needs to do much better if he is to survive in the competetive desert dining scene.

“Great Ambiance, Food and Cocktails!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

This restaurant came highly recommended from a friend, so we set a reservation a few days prior with very limited availability. We got to the restaurant about 15 minutes before our reservation and ordered some drinks in the bar. They have a great variety of alcohol, I enjoyed some Templeton Rye. Inside the restaurant/bar, it has a beautiful ambiance and limited seating. They tend to seat most of the guests outside which has a good atmosphere and luckily we had the perfect weather.

Now, on to the food. We started by splitting the Yellowtail Sashimi Jalapeno Yuzu starter which was delicious. I love sushi and it was good quality and taste. For the main course, I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass Misoyaki which had to be the best sea bass I've ever had.

“A new find in Palm Desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We had dinner at Mitch's and all I can say is EXCELLENT. The ambiance is great with a lot of outside seating. As starters the soups were both excellent, the dover sole was wonderful, my Scottish Salmon was done to perfection, and the shrimlp and scallop combination was a hit. I had an outstanding bread pudding for dessert. It was one of the best bread puddings I have ever had. It is not what you expect in bread pudding but for me it was a WOW! We will be back again.
