The food was Olive Garden good. The staff was friendly and efficient. We went twice during our visit to Palm Springs.

“DONT order Lasagna Primavera”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This dish is a new one for Olive Garden. The chicken was old, dry and tasteless. The (so called lasagna), was loose and tasteless as if it had been scooped from a pan. Jordan was a very good server but this lousy dish has got to go. Or maybe the chef is smoking some kind of weed.

“My first ever mediocre to bad food at Olive Garden”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

This dish is on their "Lighter Fare" menu>> ..... Lasagna Primavera with Grilled Chicken

I guess you need to give me the calories that were missing, because this low-calorie dish REALLY doesn't cut it and is not only low on calories, but low on taste and texture.

The overall impression is lasagna noodles stuffed with a sauce and accented with a tomato-basil sauce. Sounds good? Tastes like it was assembled in the fast-food kitchen. It appears not to have been baked, just "assembled."

While that part is somewhat edible, even if below expectations, it was topped with pre-pre-prepared chicken strips with all the freshness of something pulled out of the freezer after 6 months of storage. Dry - tasteless - actually a rather unpleasant topping to an already mediocre dish. At the least the chicken should have been grilled to order, although that still would not have saved the pallid lasagna.

If management is reading this - go back to the test kitchen on this one. It needs some help!

“At the top of the Olive Garden Group... and a superior server!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

You can expect really good food at an Olive Garden...a very well run group. But this restaurant in Palm Desert is one you should not miss if you are in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. The food is uniformly excellent, prepared in the best traditions of restaurants priced well above this one. And we have had a parade of good servers here, none better than Melissa, who should be giving server seminars!

Soupy, syrupy servers are a disgust. Poor service is, obviously, a turn off. But perfect service makes the meal an experience... perfect timing, everything exactly as requested, no task too daunting and precise anticipation for beverage refills, etc. What wonderful service!

Melissa.... let me tell you what my wife said when leaving after dinner: "She is the best server we have ever had!" And I agree... this from my wife and I, world travelers and patrons of the finest restaurants on the planet. Don't miss Olive Garden/Palm Desert and ask for Melissa.
