Well, you can expect an upscale steakhouse to be pretty nice. And pretty pricey. This is not Sizzler. Mahogany paneling on the walls, and the usual steakhouse atmosphere. Chris, our server, took care of us admirably and never let our water glasses get below 1/2-full. Or empty, depending on how you look at it. The bread was delivered almost immediately and it was awesome!
This is, like LG's and other such places, strictly a la carte. I knew I could never handle a salad or appetizer and the entree, so I skipped those and went straight for the meat. You won't find a steak here for under $48, so be prepared for "menu shock" and the sides run $12. I thought the potatoes au gratin would be a good choice, and I was right -- totally delicious! My wife loves mushrooms (she must be part hobbit) and wanted the spinach with mushrooms, which appeared to have more mushrooms than spinach.
However, both of our steaks came out a bit more rare than we would have preferred, so I have to deduct a star for that.
Neither of us had room for dessert, though they all sounded to die for. If I had eaten another bite, I may well have died, as they practically had to roll me out the door.
It's a nice place, but pretty much out of my normal budget.
