“Slept great until 6 am”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

Hoping to enjoy a high quality resort and grab a good nights rest before traveling to our final destination we pulled into our site. We took a dip in the pool, had dinner and enjoyed the evening. Before we went to bed we noticed that crews had trimmed many of the trees on the property. Despite the occasional train that momentarily woke us we had a good nights sleep until..... The tree crews began to use a gigantic chipper at 6 am to chop up all of the debris. The machine ran non-stop until we packed up around noon. We were disappointed that a resort of this caliber would allow a work crew to begin such a task before 8 am. We're seasoned work-campers and none of the resorts we've worked at would allow such a disturbance at that early hour. Shame on you.

While the park was very nice and good amenities. Beware - we had a bike stolen overnight on the last night we were there. It was chained to the bike rack on the back of a jeep and they came a cut the chain and tie downs and took the bike. The police and front desk said that this was NOT the first bike that had been stolen - they did not warn us when we checked in! Also called the night security line at 2AM when we noticed the bike being gone and no answer and never go a return call - guess there is no night security

I am sorry to hear about the theft that occurred during your stay. Although, we do have resident employees patrol our property at various times throughout the night; regrettably these types of unfortunate incidents although uncommon do happen. It saddens me to know that this experience is what you will remember about our lovely resort. Thank you for letting us know what happened. We want all of our guests to walk away with great memories, and I do apologize that this isn't the case with you. We do hope that we will have a second chance to provide you a superior experience that you can share with others.

We take all guest feedback to heart and look at it as a way to improve both our guest service and our property. We do hope that we will see you again in the future.

Sincerely,

Lesley

We've been staying at Emerald Desert in February and March for several years. The combination of location, amenities and a great staff can't be beat. The only negative is it is pricey. However, as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for!" We've stayed in the Elite section which isn't effected as much by the train and highway noise. More expensive but worth the difference.

We plan on returning next February for a month and staying in one of the recently remodeled villas since we sold our motorhome and may not replace it after 35 years of RVing. That will be a new experience but we look forward to spending time with the friends we've made through the years.

Room Tip: RV Elite sites are quieter.

We stayed here for the Stagecoach Festival and really enjoyed it. The grounds are well-kept, the pool and gym are nice and the staff are amazing. We received outstanding customer service which is becoming harder and harder to find. Tiffany in particular made us feel especially welcome.

We would recommend this resort to anyone, whether its during a festival or any other time. We will definitely return next year.

Nice resort ! Very clean and "Fun". Staff were very friendly at first. But when we asked about coffee for the coffeemaker they provided for our suite. They said they didn't provide it and to try the store on the property. The store didn't have any either. Every time we saw the staff member after that she was very cold. The coffee wasn't a big deal for us. But her attitude was!

We booked a three day stay, expecting a relaxing time, spent with good friends. What we got was noise and blowing dust! No one ever mentioned the proximity of the park to the railroad tracks, or the fact that an enormous condo complex was under construction right outside of the park. It gets windy in the desert, everyone knows that. But combine that wind with the dirt from the construction site, and you're not able to spend time outside. And then there's the constant train traffic. No blowing horns, just never ending trains, day and night. So disappointing that we left a day early...... never again.

Emerald Desert Resort has it all beautiful grounds, pool and spa. The staff is over the top to help you. They teamed with KSON radio to put on a great arrival party on Thursday night, live band, beer, wine, dance floor and an out of this world BBQ all under the stars. Round trip coach bus shuttle to Stagecoach, continental breakfast, midnight snack when you return, they have it all. Did I mention that the staff sets a new standard for service.

Michael;

Thank you for taking the time to write this great review. The Emerald Desert team is committed to providing our guests with the highest quality services and facilities. We understand that you have many options when traveling to Stagecoach! So we shrived to put together a weekend with engaging activities, clean facilities, beautiful amenities and a super fun staff. We had a great time with everyone; but also noted areas to improve. So we're really excited for next year.

Happy RVing,
Lesley
