“Everything we were Looking for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

We decided to go out to the desert for a show last minute and needed a room for the night. We ended up here (via Hotwire) and it met all our needs. Although the outside may have more of a motel or inn feel than a hotel, the room had nice large beds, nice LG TV, refrigerator, and a nice size safe that fit a laptop and more with ease. The AC worked great which is important when it's 100+ outside. We also had free wifi, free parking, and breakfast included in our price. We were also able to take advantage of the pool for a couple of hours Sunday morning before checkout. It is located close to plenty of restaurants and other amenities just a short drive in any direction. All in all it was everything we were looking for on our overnight stay.

Very good value to quality when staying in the suite here with my family. We always come out to the water park in Palm Springs and anytime we do we either stay here or at the best western Palm Springs. Good value when you don't want to make the drive back to San Diego after a day of watersides and drinking at the pool bar.

I needed a room last minute on a Saturday with two pets and Best Western was the best choice. The last minute rate was great. My room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfy and all the amenities (including FREE full breakfast) were great. Friendly hotel staff and guests. Very family friendly, very centrally located. My dogs and I will definitely stay here again. Thank you BW!

Room Tip: Only $10 for pet fee. I stayed in room 135 which was on the first floor and I was able to park my c...

The hotel is in a great location on Hwy 111 but is very quiet. it has a number of different buildings and a large central pool. We stayed in a suite and found it perfect with a walk out patio from the bedroom. the A/C was very good without being too noisy (108 outside). A chef- prepared breakfast was a step-up from most Plus level hotels. A WIFI issue was quickly resolved but only after I contacted the Asst Mgs as the desk clerk at the time wasn't very helpful.

Hotel accommodations were clean and staff courteous. Unfortunately, we were unable to take advantage of the Breakfast that is offered. It was quiet and not close to a noisy location. If we had more time we would have chosen to stay an extra day/night. Maybe we will consider this property when we return to take the aerial tram to go hiking. Much cooler at the top of the mountain!!

Recently stayed at this hotel for seven days of the additionally booking only three.

Yes it is true this hotel is not a high end resort complex and has probably seen better days however the hotel is generally well maintained and sufficiently clean without being spotless. It is what one would expect at price in such a nice area.

The only problems I encounted was probably due to the hotel's popularity and attracting a lot of guests at certain days of the week. The influx of people means that the staff have difficulty cooking each breakfast individually and have to resort to a buffet's style meal. On the days when there are not so many people around the chef does indeed cook breakfast to order and quite a substantial breakfast it is with bacon, sausage, hash browns and two eggs anyway like them. Toast is also available as is the normal American breakfast fayre. Equally at times of high occupancy the pool area experiences a high volume of traffic. At these times, quite naturally, people are enjoying themselves and may tend to be a little boisterous. For me lying by the pool in temperatures over 100° was not essential and I spent my time doing other things.
So to recap at certain times it will be highly occupancy which may effect the choices of relaxation and may make breakfast a bit of a food fight.

Now having said all that I had an extremely pleasant time at this hotel. At times when there was not such high occupancy it quiet, peaceful and relaxing. It's uncomfortable without being luxurious. The choice of TV program was pretty extensive. And I must just mentioned the excellent maid service which came every day and always made up the bed when I felt it was not necessary. The lobby style were helpful and informative.

Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area and an Albertsons grocery store with pharmacy which was opposite the hotel and within easy walking distance.

As to room choice I would be to try to get a room on the second or third floor. With this choice comes a little balcony, two chairs and a small table where one can sit out in the evening. I was in the 344 and have included photographs of the view from my balcony. There is an elevator to assist you getting to the top levels. There is also excellent laundry facilities.

So to sum up. This is an excellent hotel resort at the price. Easily three to 3 1/2 stars and anybody expecting more in such an area and at such a price is being unrealistic.
I would certainly recommend staying there and hope that in the not so distant future I can spend seven more days in Palm Desert/Indian Wells at this hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on 2nd or 3rd floor !
